We had a very enjoyable evening tonight. Pedro was our server he was excellent however he needed help there was quite a few patrons and not a lot of staff. All of our entrées were absolutely delicious except for the Caesar salad which was very bland I would not recommend that but their regular salad is very good. They had a very nice selection of wine and I would recommend and we will go back. More

I was really pleased that making a reservation actually resulted in our party of 8 being seated right away for a reservation time of 6:15 pm on a Friday evening of a holiday weekend, with only a few minutes' wait at the last second while they cleared a table. I had read previous reviews that indicated wait times of 30-40 minutes even with a reservation. The food is always good at Claim Jumper, although their menu has changed since the last time I was here. The prime rib and the bread pudding (my two main reasons for coming here!) are no longer on the menu. I didn't let this affect the review, however, because it has been so very long since I visited a Claim Jumper. It's not their fault that the menu had changed. They still offer their most popular dessert items, the carrot cake and mile high chocolate cake; and their rib eye steak suited me fine as a substitute for the prime rib, as rib eye is my favorite cut of beef otherwise. The menu now offers vegetarian (not vegan) items, which suited our vegan daughter. We had excellent service by a very competent and nice food server. The place is a little loud, especially when it really got busy on a Friday evening, but we were seated in a room off to the side (that included other tables surrounding us), so it wasn't as loud for us. Our entire party was able to engage in conversation from end to end of the table. We had a great experience and great food during our visit. More
