Chef Luis Arellano is a cook with a spirit that is both attached to his roots and creative and evolutionary.

Tierra del sol
Price: Expensive•Traditional Mexican•4.5(382)Tierra del Sol is a restaurant that takes its name from the Mixtec song, a melody that has become an Oaxacan hymn.
Just like that nostalgic song, this place celebrates in its own way the culture of an exceptional people: the Mixtec or ñuu savi; the first does it with her poetry and the second with her food.
Our chef: Olga Cabrera, cook, is the architect of such gastronomic praise, and she achieves it from the knowledge and respect for an ancient cuisine that she inherited from the women of her family and her community, Huajuapan – in the heart of the Mixteca region of Oaxaca -, a knowledge that seasons with his special passion for traditional dishes.La Distral - Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca

A space where flavors merge with unique and exquisite creations of regional inspiration, crafted by the renowned Chef Gerardo Rivera.

- CChrisAtlanta •1 review4.0Dined 2 days agoRestaurant was very good—excellent food and presentation. Lovely views from the top deck. Staff very attentive and helpful. Service was prompt and polite. Only drawback was being seated next to a large and loud mezcal tasting party, but the staff did give us a different table on request. One note: many steep flights of stairs(like all over Oaxaca), a challenge for older or less agile customers.More infoPitiona Cocina de AutorPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Mexican• Oaxaca•4.4
