Ashe County Restaurants

The Beacon is one of the top restaurants in the area and an absolute go-to. The food is absolutely stellar. While the price is on the higher end as it is more upscale dining, the value is there. You get more than enough food. My husband and I love to split an appetizer, a salad, an entree, or more often we get our own entree...it's just so hard to choose. You most certainly won't leave hungry. There's a difference between hospitality and service and the team excels in the area of hospitality. You will leave wanting to come back and try another of their amazing sounding menu items. Don't sleep on this gem in the High Country.

Cobb salad was worst we’ve ever had. Way too much lettuce!! Very little avocado, no tomatoes, almost No bacon. Very disappointing personally but also to our guest who came at our recommendation & was their 1st time visiting. Can’t say I’ll ever order it again.

We love dinning at this restaurant, each time the food and service is excellent. We enjoy the personal touch from the staff.

Excellent restraunt experience and great service. The food was very good but very differently prepared then expected.

Burrata salad, elk and lamb were outstanding! My husband loves elk but we rarely can find it where we are from so we're very happy to experience it here at The Gamekeeper! Service was top notch and kudos for having our car ready and waiting for us as we left the restaurant - that was a first and such a pleasant surprise!
