Utter Waffle - a gem within the South London brunch scene! We opened our Herne Hill restaurant in 2021, and since have become an institution in Herne Hill's small but awesome food scene. Since our launch, we've collected a small cabinet of trophies and awards, and have even cooked our savoury waffles on Masterchef, Sunday Brunch & Saturday Kitchen!
Our busy brunch restaurant serves everything from fried chicken & waffles and our signature avo smash, to bottomless brunch & craft beers. For those with a sweet tooth - fret not as the desserts are pretty good too - (we're even the proud winners of The Best Dessert in the UK (British Street Food Awards)), so there really is something for everyone!
We pride ourselves on a super-inclusive menu and ability to cater for those with dietary requirements; We're co-owned by a coeliac, don't handle any gluten on-site, plus we boast loads of vegetarian and vegan options too! So what are you waiting for!?

Lovely warm buzzy family atmosphere - heavy wooden tables and unpretentious decor but nothing at all cheap or tacky. The service was friendly and attentive despite it being fully booked, food was excellent with curiously successful pairings - perhaps a slightly greater variety might be appreciated but for everything to be delicious and gluten free made it a real treat.

The restaurant has 2 dinings rooms. Upstairs and Downstairs. The same menu options and service style are offered in both dining rooms. There is NO LIFT to the upstairs dining room.

At lunch, the tasting menu option ends at 1.45pm.
At dinner the tasting menu option ends at 8.45pm. Reservations booked AT 8.45pm must contact the restaurant direct to PRE ORDER the tasting menu at least 24 hours in advance.

This really is an exceptional restaurant: in particular the food and the service. It may sound ridiculous but I can only say that the first taste of each food literally shocked me with its sublimity and the beauty continued with every mouthful. The service was was extremely efficient and KIND, considerate.

Opened in 1984 by passionate chef Sally Clarke, this local legend on Kensington Church Street has become a firm favourite with professional critics and amateur gourmets alike. For 21 years, Sally served a four-course ‘no choice’ set dinner, but now there is a daily-changing menu that showcases her passion for high quality seasonal produce. Herbs and vegetables come from organic suppliers in South East England; buffalo mozzarella is flown in from Naples twice a week; and shellfish is sent overnight by rail from Scotland. Popular dishes include loin of Balmoral roe deer with apple and sage sauce; baked fillet of Cornish brill with datterini tomatoes and flowering thyme; dark chocolate and chestnut tart. Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too.
The menu is Modern European with a specials menu that changes regularly and plenty of choice on the drinks and cocktail menu.
