Launceston Place is a hidden gem in the heart of Kensington. Chef Patron Ben Murphy, who was crowned National Chef of the Year 2022 by the Craft Guild of Chefs, is passionate about using the best produce in his constantly-changing modern British menus.

Launceston Place has been awarded three AA Rosettes in 2021, AA’s ‘Notable Wine List’ title and the ‘Best Wine List’ at the Tatler Restaurant Awards.

Serving contemporary French food, this much-loved independent restaurant has been going strong for over 22 years.
Before booking, please note the restaurant has both downstairs and upstairs.
The same menu options are available on both floors. There is no lift upstairs.
Re Tasting Menu Timings: For the option to enjoy our tasting menu, at lunch you must book before 1.45pm and at dinner, please book before 8.45pm. Tasting menus are unavailable outside of these times.
If you cannot find a table, please contact the restaurant team direct as not all tables are available to book online. Please contact the restaurant with any private dining enquiries.

Very relaxed lunch despite the restaurant being full. So good to see it being used to full capacity. We were with friends and had a very lovely time - the food was its usual high standards. My desert wasn't spectacular but certainly looked the part. Well done TFT - you always nail it.

Lovely, cosy restaurant in Islington, enhanced by the proximity of the open kitchen. Service was professional, at the same time warm and friendly. A food intolerance was handled exceptionally well. A well priced interesting selection of dishes. Everything we ate was delicious, well executed and beautifully presented. A good wine list too. Highly recommended.

As we are a very small restaurant, we will need your table back after 1 hour and 30 minutes, which will be ample time to enjoy what we offer.

Another return visit, partly stimulated by seeing partridge pie on the menu. I have to say, it didn't disappoint - a substantial, tasty and rather traditional take on game pie/en croute. The rest of the meal, and my wife's, was of the very high standard we've come to expect by this jewel of a place. Back soon while the pie is still on the menu!

Westerns Laundry is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant focusing on seafood & natural wines. The restaurant is located in the Islington/Highbury neighbourhood of North London. It opened in 2018 and is housed in a 1950's industrial building which used to be home to the largest commercial laundry in North London. It now boasts a beautiful 60 cover dining room, which opens onto an open 20 cover cobbled courtyard with olive trees as well as an intimate private dining room. Westerns Laundry has won numerous awards for excellence and originality and is a firm favourite on the London dining scene.
