Assagi is a gem of a place tucked away on the first floor of a gorgeous townhouse. Service is very attentive and I appreciated the recommendations made. Food was impeccably fresh and deliciously prepared. And the room is charming with high ceilings and big windows. I would definitely visit again the next time I’m in London.

Tangawizi restaurant in London’s East Twickenham, close to Richmond Bridge, earned the well-heeled locals’ devotion right from the off. The chef is ‘trained by and strongly recommended by Vineet Bhatia’ and that’s saying quite a lot. The dining room is very smart, mood-enhancingly lit in saffron and blackberry with details of beautiful sari fabric inlaid in the tables. Dishes are authentic North Indian, but cutting-edge and contemporary, the way we Londoners like them: the freshest of ingredients, little oil, sparkling flavours. Try the mixed platter of starters to share to really browse the possibilities, then choose something like spicy marinated red snapper in tempura batter served with cheddar and Parmesan risotto, with one of the lovely dahls on the side. The traditionally-clad waitstaff are very attentive and the whole experience a winner.

Great cozy Indian restaurant, lovely food and very attentive staff. I would only make one recommendation is to have fresh juices options and better tasting mocktails. Overall we enjoyed our meal and service!

Best waffles I’ve ever had. I went with my sister who has specific dietary requirements and the staff were so accommodating. I’ll definitely be back soon and would highly highly recommend Utter Waffle to everyone.

The owners of Locanda Ottoemezzo Italian restaurant in London’s Kensington, just a few moments’ walk from the High Street, are film aficionados extraordinaire. In particular, their admiration of Federico Fellini’s masterpiece 8 ½ has inspired them to name their delightful restaurant after it and to decorate the interior with 8 1/2 – themed details. The general vibe of this charming and accomplished neighbourhood restaurant is vibrant and warm and full of colour with collectors’ details like rare LPs, books, instruments and a precious 1963 poster of the film. Yet there’s nothing gimmicky about Locanda Ottoemezzo. The perfect house risotto is always on the menu here served with a theatrical flourish from a rind of parmesan.

Locanda Ottoemezzo, although located in a delightful area of South Kensington, is like stepping into a little corner of Italy; with the typically warm and friendly staff one would expect. The menu was superb, with just the right range of options, to avoid the agonising choices which one can face with an over-complicated bill of fare. The food was authentic and utterly delicious; not to mention the house speciality home-made focaccia bread, served with typical Italian generosity - and absolutely to die for! I can’t praise the staff at this restaurant highly enough. They made us welcome, they were warm and friendly, and looked after us like royalty. We will definitely be back to visit when we next come to London. Fabulous in every respect.

We’ve been going to the Dysart for several years and they are always excellent. This time the experience was even better. The cold pea soup with apple was the stand out dish - one of the best I can remember having. The ambiance and service are faultless.
