It is rare to find a decent sit down Chinese restaurant in south London - so this one was a great find. Though bit on the pricy side., cant fault the quality of food or service. Of course, the portions could be bit bigger given the price. Wines are extraordinarily expensive - we had the Organic Grillo at £35 / bottle.. which I think is at least £10 overpriced.

The food was gorgeous, but the service was what made it such a great experience. We were a large group and you helped us graciously and made us very comfortable, thank you.

Kai Mayfair’s cuisine has its foundation in Nanyang Chinese cooking, the region located within the South Seas of China. It takes a ‘Liberated’ approach to Chinese cooking, respectful of the flavours from its Chinese heritage but not bound by it, offering a menu primarily of specialities unique to Kai. Desserts also feature as a key part of its meal experience utilising ingredients synonymous with the Nanyang region like pandan and durian. Kai has held it’s Michelin Star since 2009.

Traditional Chinese restaurant situated in Knightsbridge popular with locals as well as business types and the shopped out from Harrods. The decor is all oriental splendour and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. What's cooking? Traditional Chinese fare. Signature dishes include crispy fragrant duck, steamed seabass and mixed seafood platter. Plenty of vegetarian choices with faux chicken and prawn dishes and a monk's casserole - a mixture of preserved and fresh vegetables cooked in a clay pot. Please do keep in mind, we do have seating for both upstairs and downstairs so set a reservation anytime!

Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. Hottest day of the year and no breeze and aircon. Food and service are great. We had a fab meal, just difficult in 34 degree heat. Lovely mochi helped us cool down!

Chef Owner, Tong Chee Hwee, former Group Executive Head Chef of Hakkasan, has returned to launch Gouqi, an Award-Winning, Fine Dining Chinese restaurant located at 25-34 Cockspur Street, St James's opposite the Canadian Embassy, Trafalgar Square.

The restaurant name derives from the goji berry, a symbol of health and vitality that inspires the ethos of the restaurant. Using premium produce sourced from around the globe, the menu offers an abundance of flavours, techniques, and ingredients. The Berri Bar offers Asian inspired cocktails and an eclectic wine list.

Gouqi seats 100 guests, including 2 private interconnecting dining rooms; Crimson & Ruby, which seat 10 and 12, or combine to accommodate up to 22 guests.

Gouqi is in a great location, very close to Trafalgar Square and the West End. We went in for an early pre-theatre dinner and it was a lovely experience. I have an allergy to oysters, and they were very accommodating and looked after me. I am only giving this a 4* rating because with my particular allergy, I would've appreciated just a few more dishes to try. Instead, I had to focus on spring rolls and dumplings. Would've loved a stir fry or noodle dish but these were not on my speciality menu. Huge thanks to the team for treating us so well and the dessert was a massive showstopper - don't skip it!
