My wife and I has a fantastic dinner at Res. We had one of their special seats for two siting side by side overlooking the street below. The food is unique and delicious. Bread is individual hot and crispy baguettes. The grapefruit bourbon sour was refreshing. There are a variety of dishes for all palates. We had the crab rangoons, Molly's shrimp, a salad, and the pappardelle with pulled roast chicken. Dessert was a mocha cake, which was just the right size and not too sweet. Everything was fantastic. And our waiter Michael was just the right mix of friendly, welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Providence.

Loved the historical vibe walking in…but the service set the bar high right out the gate. Very personable, outgoing, wanting to make it a great first time visit. Maddie (our server) was so attentive and the specials sounded amazing so we ordered them all. Food was spectacular, continued great service and then followed by a history of the speak easy. Highly recommend and will be back!

We went to the Providence location for my girlfriend’s birthday She had never been but wanted to try it out. Dave, our server greeted us immediately. His timing was impeccable start to finish and we were very pleased with how everything turned out. It was a bit loud, but it’s understandable as we were next to 2 large tables of 10 and 7 gentleman.

Discover Providence

Long known for its classic New England seafood, Providence has also recently garnered a reputation for fine contemporary dining options. As a college town, it offers an abundance of laid-back, reasonably priced restaurants. But because the Johnson and Wales University campus is home to a well-respected culinary arts program, the town has become a popular proving ground for up-and-coming chefs. Even Providence's college students know and expect good food, which keeps the standards in this waterside city exceptionally high. The food options have also been heavily influenced by the city's proximity to Boston and New York. That means a lot of hearty, locally sourced dishes and ample pizza options. Providence's palate is also quite sophisticated, with restaurants serving up everything including French, Swiss, Italian and even vegan cuisine.
