  • Automatically deliver an SMS message to guests when they receive a direct message via OpenTable.
  • Customize the messaging in reservation reminder messages, reservation confirmation messages, waitlist messages, and online waitlist messages.
  • Customize the timing of transactional reminder messages.

Premium Communications helps restaurants:

  • Enhance the guest experience by delivering more personalized and timely messages.
  • Reduce no-shows—more flexible and branded reminders can help ensure guests remember and honor their reservations.
  • Increase efficiency by automating certain communications while maintaining a personal touch.
  • Get faster responses from guests so you can better prepare for service.

You can customize the content of your reservation confirmations and reminders, waitlist confirmations, and waitlist table is ready messages and the timing of your reservation reminders.

Guests with SMS notifications enabled will receive a direct SMS message with a preview of the restaurant’s message. This SMS will include a link to the full message in OpenTable so they can quickly respond. 

No—you can use Premium Communications without turning on Direct Messaging, though some functionality may be limited. 

Premium Communications is included with the Pro plan. It’s available as a monthly add-on for Core customers.
