Good food at reasonable prices. Very cozy feeling in an old world setting.
Fantastic food, excellent wait staff. Great drink menu.
Service was wonderful. But disappointed in food, have been to Coperta before and loved
the food. Maybe just an off night and it was very noisy. We will go back and try it one more time.
Starting with only negative-the receptionist was NOT friendly or warm-we joked she clearly wanted to be somewhere else! That said the food was very good, the wait staff friendly and efficient! I really liked our waiter and the manager was wonderful! Will definitely return!
I love this place! The portions are the perfect size -- you can try a ton of food without getting overly full. AND YOU SHOULD -- it's all so delicous! Adorable little spot, too.
We came here for Restaurant Week. We had never been before so thought this would be a good way to check it out. We made a reservation for 6:30. They seated us in the bar which was probably fortuitous of things to come. Very loud and the decor was a little sad. Note to self- if you ever do try this place demand to be seated in the main dining room which is super cute- complete opposite of bar area.
There were three courses per person for Restaurant Week. It’s not worth going in to detail about what we ordered- just suffice to say that between the 4 of us we all ordered something different so we could sample and the main theme for the food was salt. A LOT of salt. That’s my main takeaway which isn’t good. Dessert was not included but we ordered it anyway and thank God because it was the best part of the meal. We all ordered different flavors of gelato and coffee and both were delicious. So- at least it ended on somewhat of a high note. We will not be returning for fear of whatever chef it is that thinks flavor means copious amounts of salt will be on duty the night we choose to come.
Nice meal during Denver restaurant week. Highly recommended venue.
I went on a date here for restaurant week and it was incredible!
The set menu is great for sharing and will not disappoint. I highly recommend for some high quality Italian.
We went during Restaurant Week and had one of the best meals ever here. All 3 courses were superb. I do believe Coperta has THE very best eggplant parmesan I've had anywhere in Denver.
We were there for restaurant week. The menu was great for the cost. My only negative feedback is that the food was way too salty. It overpowered some of the flavors of the main dishes.
The food is excellent and I love the ambiance!
Enjoyed dinner during restaurant week, so it may have been a bit louder and more crowded. The food came out quick initially and then slowed considerably as tables filled. The food was very good in terms of quality and the portions were reasonable. Like any establishment, some offerings will always be more appealing than others, but it is palette dependent. The wait staff was very accommodating overall and helpful in providing recommendations for both food and drink. I will go back to evaluate other offerings on the menu when time permits as there were more items of interest than we were able to try.
The food was fair and the presentation of the food was fair. We went for restaurant week, and I thought the value was poor.
Best Italian food in Denver!
Loved the restaurant, but the food was a bit heavy.
Love Coperta generally, food is delicious but what the neck happened with the ventilation system? All clothes in the wash afterwards due to heavy cooking smells. Very bad smelling, greasy, in there. Need to fix that.
Valentine’s with my Lady
the pasta entrees were a bit salty, but the appetizers were amazing.
Boyfriend’s birthday dinner
Great service and food. Worth a visit
Appetizers and main course were amazing- ! Desserts weren’t good at all. We ordered the donuts to go they were burned! We shared a scoop of ice cream that tasted like another super market ice cream box .
A wonderful celebration for my husbands birthday. Food was spectacular!
Service was wonderful and we had a great evening. Even with a toddler and a baby!!
We ate here 3-4 years ago and it was fantastic. Went here again last night and it was so close to still being great but everything was over salted. Maybe it was a heavy hand on our dishes but the two pastas we shared and then 3 of 4 our our entrees were just too salty. Disappointing and left needing to drink water.
Excellent, quality ingredients; portions could be a little large for the money.
Dinner was delicious. We started with the calamari which we all loved the seasoning. The only complaint would have been that the calamari was so tiny. 3 of us had the chicken. It never never disappoints! My husband loves the Cavatelli Ragu, so he had that, which is delicious too! We all ordered the house salad. It could use a little boost. Very boring. The dressing is delicious, but how about a little shaved parm at least to make it a little more fun. We ordered the market vegetables. They were good, but the spice was almost exactly like the spice on the chicken. So it was like ordering something with the same flavor and not something that complimented the chicken. BTW, we were sat in the room in the back of the restaurant, it was quaint and we liked it, but they need to turn the lights down. It was so bright it took away from the ambiance. The guy sitting next to us compared the lighting to Denny's. Ha! I wouldn't go that far, but we did ask them to dem the lights a bit and it really made a big difference. Other then that Copetra continues to be one our favorite restaurants to go to :O) P.S. We loved our waitress!
Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We were too full for dessert but will be back to try the affogato.
Had to wait 30 min to be seated (even though we had a reservation). I actually think the hostess forget about us (she had us wait in the bar), until I went up and checked. Our server was apathetic, like a bored teenager, couldn’t get her to describe items on menu. Food was just ok
I've driven past Coperta several times, never really thinking about going in. What is a wonderful restaurant!! I think it's one of the areas best kept secrets. Friday nights are usually tough to find a table for 4, but we were able. Outstanding food, great service, and good wine. Without hesitation I recommend Copterta.
I love this place, and honestly part of me wants to keep it all to myself because I don't want it to become too busy, but everyone is so lovely they deserve all the success. Literally everything I've had here has been crazy delicious. My favorites are the bucatini and the eggplant, and my husband loves the market fish and the pork chop. It's the first place I want to go to celebrate a special occasion, and it's my go to for hosting out of towners. Delicious food, great drinks, excellent wine, amazing service, good value for the whole experience. Just go and see for yourself already!
Helpful and friendly staff! Great bartender and food :)
Had a great time (again) at Coperta. One of my faves in Denver!
We had been here about a year ago and thought it was amazing. Tonight we were a bit disappointed. First of all, they were out of every fish except calamari. My husband does not eat meat so that left few options for him. The dishes we had were fine but nowhere near the quality of our last visit. Maybe it was a bad night--we will definitely try again. Service was great and noise level in bar was amenable to conversation but not dull.
Love this place!! There used to be a dessert on the menu, the tartuflo I believe, that made their menu sublime rather than just perfect, so can’t go wrong with Coperta!
Delicious food & wonderful service. Can't wait to go back.
Great for 7 of us for dinner, waiter was almost too attentive.
Our first dinner here and we'll be sure to return the next time we're in Denver. Everything we tasted, including the calamari, ravioli & lamb special were outstanding. Pleasant dining ambiance and friendly staff.
Food and service was absolutely wonderful! Great happy hour prices for wine before we sat down at our table too.
Always consistent--good food, good service. And I love that it is in the neighborhood!
This place was a gem! Beautiful old building and easy to find. Street parking available as well. The food was fantastic! It was a birthday celebration and we let them know in advance. They treated us to some champagne to start to mark the occasion and of course ended with their homemade limoncello. You can get half size portions which is great for sharing or just a smaller portion. Would definitely go back, loved it!
