Contemporary Latin | Taos, Santa Fe / Mountains

Outstanding food, very fresh and unexpectedly original dishes. A fusion of South American dishes cleverly accented with savory Japanese flavors. Loved the empanada appetizer and trout main dish, served whole but cleanly filleted and separated from the skin. The restaurant is a just little outside the central area of Taos and was very quiet. The venue is charming but could use a designer for lighting and accessorizing to give it great ambiance. It appears still undiscovered. I have eaten many places around the world and will definitely go back to Aji when in Taos. More

We ate at Doc Martin's twice in one week and both times were perfect. Everyone was very happy with their food choices, drink choices and the atmosphere. The first time we dined inside and the second time we were on the patio. After dinner we enjoyed live entertainment in the adjoining Taos Inn. Very enjoyable evening. More

Discover Taos

Taos, New Mexico, offers a unique blend of Spanish, Native American and Anglo cultures. Nowhere in this beautifully rugged city is that more evident than in the city's restaurants. The city's galleries and museums are surrounded by great American-style cafes and authentic Mexican restaurants. Many offer outdoor dining with amazing views of the surrounding Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Enjoy the laid-back vibe of this community while dining on chile en nogada, blue crab cakes or homemade granola in the Plaza district. Or, you can head to the El Prado district for fried chicken tenders smothered with hot aji Amarillo sauce. Head to the south side of town for crab eggs benedict if you want a unique brunch.
