Discover Denham Springs
As a Louisiana Main street community, Denham Springs is home to great dining options. While you'll find Italian restaurants, pizzerias, classic hamburgers, Asian, Mexican and other types of culinary classics, the star of the show here will always be seafood, Cajun and Creole cuisine. Crawfish is a real Louisiana specialty, and the freshwater delicacies are also known locally as mudbugs. Crawfish are used in gumbo, jambalaya and, naturally, in crawfish etouffee. While mudbugs are available fresh only a few months per year, fish and seafood options are available all year round. In Cajun country, the time is always right for red beans and rice, New Orleans style po' boys and fried pastries called beignets that are eaten at breakfast, as a snack or for dessert.
