Everything about The Independent Restaurant and Bar exceeded our expectations! The food was superb and service was top notch. My husband and I live about an hour from Placerville, but will definitely go back!

Our group of four enjoyed sitting at the table Beneath the Enchanted Tree. It was beautiful and close to the Irish musicians that were playing. The music was instrumentals, which was pleasant and not loud at all. I loved the music, but would also love a band that is more lively. None of us were disappointed in our choices of food. I can speak for the savory pastry chicken pie. It was delicious! We shared the Irish whiskey shrimp and we all agreed it was outstanding! We are all happy we didn’t go home without having the blackberry key lime pie! Be sure to save room for it! Sierra was such a wonderful waitress and a delight to share our special occasions with.

The decor is amazing! The detail is incredible. We were given great service from the moment we entered from the hostess, busser and server. Then came the drinks & food. YUM! We planned on having one drink, but it was so good we ended up with two. The food was delicious. We had planned on one dish, but asked the server his opinion on the food options which he readily gave. We chose one of his recommended dishes. So good!!! I would definitely go back! I would recommend getting a reservation so you can have a table in the main restaurant. Also, go hungry! We shared an app, salad and main dish. We had leftovers.

Excellent service from table and bar. Having to walk through the smoking section was uncomfortable for me as a cardiac patient and my hubby, who is a lung cancer patient. But, we walked as quickly as we could to get to the escalators to go down to the non-smoking area. It would be nice if there was an entrance directly into the nonsmoking restaurant area. Good value for menu. Just a hit too noisy. May return in the future.

the food here is always great- we split the peach Caprese with hand pulled Mozzarella, Carbonara and the lobster squash blossoms. All Excellent. our server, Jordan, who i've had before, was delightful and very attentive. i Love the vibe, but It's a noisy spot, I would recommend outside if you have older folks who don't hear well or maybe a table in the corner.
