Really unique experience. The decor is adorable and the staff were friendly. It’s expensive so it’s not a going to be a regular place for me but a couple times a year for sure. The food was delish! Located in the cute downtown of Placerville.

Great, as usual! Consistently great food. The Beef Wellington and Scallops are a must! Finish it off with Toffee Pudding and make it a perfect night! Other great dishes include the mushrooms and the mac & cheese. Their recent upgrade literally doubled the size of the dining room and created a more open bar area with multiple hi-tops for those more interested in a casual dining experience. One of the best places to eat in Tahoe!

Another wonderful experience at The Independent restaurant. What I love about this place is our server was busy serving another table and I was able to get assistance from the other servers who were all willing to just be helpful to everyone. Wonderful atmosphere. And wonderful food. 

We wanted to celebrate my twin 21 year olds birthday in Tahoe with a VIBE and this was the move! From the moment you want in the entrance, you are in awe of the decor. We got a large purple velvet round table with a gorgeous chandelier. WOW. The drinks did not disappoint and were perfect for pictures. Everyone loved their meals. We had the burger, a filet, shrimp tacos and Guinness fish and chips. The food came rally fast! Our waitress was great (I wish I remembered her name! SORRY). I am so glad we picked this place, it will be a core memory for their 21st birthday dinner!

All meals were really good...wedge salad, calamari, crab cakes, prime rib, by steak, mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, baked potato fresh bread and glass of Pinot Noir. Waitress did excellent job accommodating special request from us 3 guests.
