If you enjoy SoCal weather and being by the marina, you really can’t beat Cast and Plow .. we were a table for 2 and requested to sit outside which was available. They have some really nice tables outside that have a built in fire pit and sit right next to the edge of the establishment. Highly recommend them when dining here if weather is on par. Service was well trained, I never refilled my own water once and tables cleared accordingly. Food was well executed, nicely presented… my salmon was well cooked and seasoned. And the server mentioned the chef recommends medium which it was and I agreed myself to enjoy it that way. The mushroom in the dish could need some help. My son had the Mishima farms Wagyu burger, only complaint is that when you ask for a burger medium it should be medium. Not well cooked … but nonetheless everything else was great. For desserts try the chocolate tower cake and cookies , both are very good. The ritz Carlton cake was very small portion, even though the quality of ingredients are good. Have been here a few times but not since the pandemic, so it was nice to enjoy ourselves here once again... We will be back again I’m sure….

Sitting outside was a beautiful experience as the sun was coming down. Our server was Eddy who was just an awesome guy to be dealing with. The ambiance and environemnt are always top notch. One suggestion is the crab cake, absolutely can’t go wrong.

This is my second time and the food is just delicious. Got the eggplant dip both times so yummy. This time I got the squid ink pasta with crab, so yummy. The chocolate torta was amazing. The only thing that was not great was the sorbet, it had a weird salt flavor like there was salt at the bottom of the bowl and fruit. I love the fruit but the fruit with the sorbet just didn’t mix. Everything else was delicious!

The hosts at the front were very efficient and friendly, immediately making us feel like special guests. We were promptly seated and a fabulous wine selection had our drinks on the table right away. The food menu is extensive and varied making it a difficult choice indeed. I had the mushroom appetizer which was huge and delicious! I followed with the orecchiette bolognese with guanciale and it was spectacular! It was prepared al dente perfectly with just the right amount of sauce and a dollop of creamy whipped ricotta. The serving was large enough for a portion for lunch today! My partner only wanted the turkey sandwich which he raved about and brought half home for next day lunch. We ordered the butterscotch pot de crème which was THE BEST I’ve ever had, and the pistachio chocolate tort with crème fraiche that was also to die for. Lunch was a little pricey at $174 with 20% gratuity but we did have two fabulous vetliners and two desserts. I would rush back in a heartbeat!!
