Amazing. Amazing. Amazing! There is a reason this place is still standing after so many years. Delicious food. Great wine. Fabulous service.
Beautiful romantic space and amazing food.
Delizioso!!!
We always enjoy coming back to Locanda Positano. It is a very nice intimate space and the food is so flavorful. One of our favorite spots in Los Angeles.
Delicious pasta. Authentic Italian. Good service. Small restaurant with an intimate atmosphere.
Paulo & the staff are so cool & happy...will always go back.
Best Italian dinner in Venice! Every dish was fantastic
Old world cuisine that is vibrant with wondrous flavors and textures. Ambiance is warm and cozy. Very European in feel. Great for romantic dinners or special gatherings.
This is a wonderful European/Italian Restaurant. It really is my favorite in the area. Wonderful service & food is delicious!
Always deelish!! Everything is terrific. Never had a bad dish here!
Our favorite local Italian restaurant. Amazing food, great quality and absolutely delicious. I would not hesitate and share Locada Positano as one of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles.
I do tend to dine at Italian restaurants frequently and very much enjoyed dining at Locanda Positano. The food was excellent and so was the service. The restaurant is small so I would suggest making a reservation.
Mother daughter date!
Great little place, the food is terrific and the wine selection is even better.
Excellent food - as usual! Our first time in dining room in the back - quiet and less formal - we will request that from now on!
My third time dining at Locanda Positano and it was fantastic! Love the atmosphere, the food is delicious and the service is excellent! Once you step inside you forget that you are in California, the ambienc feels very European! Buratta was amazing and the truffle pasta.....just order it, you won't be disappointed!
It’s a perfectly quaint restaurant located on a very busy street in Marina del Rey.
The service was good
The food was good
It was noisy
It was intimate
We would go back
This is our "go to" restaurant for special occasions. We love the menu, the coziness of the dining room and the wine selections - especially the Super Tuscans! The wait staff is knowledgeable, professional and welcoming.
Our favorites on the menu include the scallops, the papparadelle and the rigatoni dishes but everything is always delicious. Valet parking makes parking convenient.
Locanda Positano is one of our go-to restaurants for special occasion dinners, and our most recent visit didn't diminish our enthusiasm for the food and service one iota. It's intimate, classy and welcoming, and the chef delivers excellent cuisine every time.
Our family was in the Marina del Rey area and tried this restaurant. It is a cozy authentic Italian restaurant . Each of us enjoyed the food. They use only fresh ingredients. The wine list is Italian and reasonably priced. Definitely a keeper.
I found this deal on Living Social and decided to give it a try. I was on a hunt for a seafood pasta that rivaled my favorite pasta at Naples Ristorante. And I'm ecstatic to have found it at Locanda Positano!! It was scrumptious!! I loved the wine that they recommended too!! The service was great and the owner even greeted us at the door!! I'm definitely going back!!
Birthday dinner.
Wir saßen im kleineren Teil des Restaurants. Einfach eingerichtet, aber gemütlich. Ähnlich wie Bistro Charakter. Das Essen ist sehr gut aber die Preise sind überteuert.
Delicious as usual. Authentic Italian.
A real gem
Food is delicious —-portions are generous
A cozy atmosphere
Wonderful food, great service!
Have been there many times, and it is consistently good
Excellent food and attentive service!! Wonderful owner!
Excellent menu I had rack of lamb. Good portion. Daughter’s pasta was too rich with butter. One hung about a $89 wine. Tastes great but there is a financial hesitancy which will impeded Another
Locanda Positano is our go-to Date Night. It's very small and the staff is like family. The food is consistent and the sound level is great for quiet conversation. Everyone at this restaurant is amazing friendly and welcoming.
The food is over the top and so is the service. Love going here
Locanda Positano is a gem. The minute you walk in you're greeted by the owner with a warm smile and a desire to please. Their incredible bread and exceptional olive oils tells you're in for a memorable meal. Their hand-made pasta is light as air! All the food, wine & service A-Plus! We're spreading the word...we can't wait to go back!
The food is always good and the service is wonderful!
Always a deliciously prepared meal with outstanding service. When my wife and I have a chance do enjoy a night out we eat at Locanda. We feel surrounded by family when dining at Locanda. The food never disappoints. Always high quality ingredients prepared w love. The wine selection is great even though we drink the same House Chianti every time. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and anybody who will listen.
We had a great time. My wife loved the Gnocchi, and I had the Pappardelle al Cinghiale Overall, very good food. A bit pricy, i.e we brought our own 2003 Brunello for a $35 corkage fee!
We will go there again.
Casual dress code. I called to see if sandals were okay (yes). Music was contemporary r surprising, but nice. Food was very delicious. My wife got squid ink tiglionelle with seafood(perfect). I got osso buco with saffron rissoto (perfect). They had organic wines to choose from, and nice bread with a trio of olive oil to start. We were so full we couldn't fit dessert, but we knew it would be great so we got tiramisu to go. We highly recommend.
On a Saturday night make sure you have a reservation. It is a neighborhood gem.
So delicious! Authentic incredible Italian food! We highly recommend that everyone try it!
The staff was attentive & the food was excellent, as always. It was a birthday for my brother & they brought out a lovely dessert.
I have eaten at Locanda at least 5 times and I have never been disappointed. The food is better than great, the wine selection is incredible, and I never feel rushed or hurried.
I am originally from NYC and this feels like home.
Since moving to Marina Del Rey we have gone on a best pasta of LA tour - Felix, Pasta Sisters, Elephante, and a few others...so I'd say we have a good relative comparison.
Last night we came here and had a life changing pasta experience. We had the short rib rigatoni, black squid ink tagliatelle with scallops & shrimp and then the grand finale...!!!!!! Spaghetti ala pepe.
Every dish exceeded my expectations of how good pasta can be!!!! It was nothing short of heavenly.
They have a really great Italian wine selection- the restaurant is relatively small and in true European dining, these diners don't eat fast. Service and ambience was terrific. I would guess true Italianos are running this place. The only semi-negative was the dessert- I think we got an old & dry chocolate flourless cake...almost bad enough to send back but overall did not take away from the entire experience.
For us, this restaurant has become not only the best pasta in LA but the best pasta we've ever had!!! We are headed to Italy in less than a month and if it's anything like this than we found our favorite restaurant of all time.
