- TTheoLas Vegas •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe started in the bar to wait for our table. The bar server was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and very service focused. We had a drink and then were seated at our table. Unfortunately, I could barely hear my wife who was seated next to me and my kids as well…I can always hear my kids!!! The server arrived and I had a hard time hearing her, but the table near us (large party started to quiet down. I then settled in and ended up having a great experience! The food was incredible. We had great, fresh oysters, scallop crudo (super tasty), and the best 12oz wagyu New York! I am usually very critical regarding steak because I make steak at home all the time. My wife said that it was the best steak she ever ate….and it may have been the best I ever had too!!!That was quite a compliment!! We even had two amazing desserts! They were fantastic! (The lime panna cotta and the Chocolate and Caramel) Our service was on point even though they are all fairly new. The hotel/restaurant is only 2 months old. Other than the acoustics in the restaurant, it was outstanding! I am happy that it was our first night’s dinner…we are here for a week!!!! We’ll be back tomorrow!!More infoOld Hickory SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• National City•4.1
- EEmilySan Diego •19 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe live in SD and have been waiting to stop by the resort since it opened. Decided to make my husband’s birthday the perfect opportunity to do so. It was the best decision I made. The staff are stellar, Pamela was our hostess and Jonathan was our server. We couldn’t have asked for better service on such a special day. Our reservations were for the outside patio and Pamela sat us at a table that was in the perfect spot to watch the sun set. She was even kind enough to take tons of pictures of us so we could remember the moment. Jonathan was so thoughtful and friendly throughout our meal, always smiling and very attentive. The food was divine, from the charcuterie board to the Wagyu steak for the birthday boy to the pistachio crème brûlée as the end. Everything was delicious. My poisson de jour, a branzino, was fabulous and my daughter loved her cavatelli pasta. And surprisingly, they also have a kids menu, so my youngest was able to order a cheese pizza. Overall, I am beyond impressed with this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Trēo.More infoTREO Kitchen & BarPrice: Expensive• American• National City•4.2

- SSharonSan Diego •32 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 20, 2025I’ve been a fan of Briantine fish tacos for years- primarily at the Del Mar location (outside of Fair and Racing seasons, lol). I was meeting friends for lunch: one who lives in Imperial Beach 1 Bay Park- me in Carlsbad. It is a smaller location than Del Mar- but right across the street from the IB plexi surfboard sculpture, the beach and the Ocean. I had a passionfruit spicy margarita. We made a rsvp for noon and sat on the patio out front. The wait staff was great, the food was great, and it was not too warm. Since I live and work around North County- I often pass by IB on my way to the Border and CBX and think about how I used to visit often- because I was a chamber rep for my organization at the time. Last Friday the space and this old school beach city reminded me of summers as a teen. It even smelled like summer. I totally enjoyed everything about the lunch ! As is my habit- I totally forgot to take pics of the food and drink- but trust me- it was perfect!More infoBrigantine - Imperial BeachPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Imperial Beach•4.5

Discover Imperial Beach
Imperial Beach is the southernmost beach town in California, just 5 miles north of the Mexican border, so it’s unsurprising that Tijuana street tacos are a local favorite. The tortillas are packed full with ingredients. It's the perfect option to either take on the go or sit down to eat. If you're looking for a fresh spin on seafood, then head over to the piers in Chula Vista, just outside of Imperial Beach, where several waterfront restaurants work directly with local fisherman and farms to acquire quality ingredients that become popular menu items. This location is best for alfresco dining, and swordfish or calamari are the most popular dishes. You can choose the cooking style of chargrilled or sautéed or just have the seafood chopped and put into your salad.
