We went for lunch before a Blumenthal Arts performance on a Sunday afternoon. We each ordered a child’s portion of fish ‘n chips with fries and a glass of wine. Everything was fine and it wasn’t noisy, which we greatly appreciated!

A quick walk from the Discovery Place Science building and the Levine Museum of the New South, 5Church is one of the best bars in Charlotte. Try one of the rotating local beers on draft from Triple C Brewery, Legion Brewery, or Olde Mecklenberg. Specialty cocktails include favorites like rosemary gin fizz or the spicy "viper," made with tequila and cayenne pepper. The burger menu at 5 Church is another highlight. Go for the 5Church lamb burger, made with red onion marmalade, gorgonzola fondue, and a secret sauce.

Food was delicious! Service was great and beautiful and energetic ambience. Was on my list of places to go and I am glad I did. Being originally from charlotte, I will say its best to carpool, uber, lyft or even ride the light rail and walk a couple blocks to get to the restaurant. Restaurant is on the back side of the Ivey hotel if you rely on GPS.

We thought we would try it during the Queens Feast week - will definitely be back. The tuna tartare and the ceviche wee especially excellent! The brioche dessert was ridiculously good, and the service was outstanding.
