We had an amazing time at the Holborn Dining Room. We tried the pies - lamb and chicken, crab tart, oysters, prawns, and the rib eye and all were wonderful. Service was top-notch and the beautiful interior set the mood for the evening.

Our waiter was very attentive and courteous. One of our steaks came quite bloody and despite us sending it back, it came back bloody again. Thankfully, our fantastic waiter rectified the issue!

I had a business lunch and arrived slightly early so was given the option of sitting in the quieter area that was subdivided from the main restaurant. It was pleasant, service was good and it was certainly quieter than the main restaurant so conversation was easier. We both had the set menu for 2 which was good value and good food although sides were extra. A slight annoyance was the cover charge which I resent paying on top of a 15% tip, but they were happy to knock that off the bill on request. Overall a great ambience and impressive place to wine and dine clients.

This is my second dining experience in a month. All boxes ticked re service, ambience, food, drinks. I would highly recommend especially if you are a seafood and fish lover. It is a tad pricey but there is a great set menu before 6pm. The food is delicious and service excellent.

I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for years under the impression that the tasting menu comes with a story woven throughout the dishes, but this wasn't the case. Just a couple of forgettable comments about how the chef likes sunday roasts or played football as a kid. We still enjoyed the meal very much and the tasting menu felt generous by london standards.

All berry pancake and the truffle scrambled egg are divine. The lamb shank tastes a bit greasy, which might be because the dish is not “hot” enough, ie borderline of warm-room temperature. Service felt a bit “cold” from a waiter.

Very loud music playing the whole evening. Was very hard to hold a conversation without shouting. Asked them to lower the volume a bit, they said sure, but didn’t actually do that. Food was pretty great though, especially ceviche and miso black cod

Very loud music playing the whole evening. Was very hard to hold a conversation without shouting. Asked them to lower the volume a bit, they said sure, but didn’t actually do that. Food was pretty great though, especially ceviche and miso black cod

Food and service were really good as always, weekday lunch is great value. I have never seen Roka so quiet on a Friday though so very little atmosphere which was a shame
