We ate outside so it wasnt noisey, which made me happy. Loved my Holywood drink. The poutin was too good and i ate too many yummee fries. The greens salad was very nice, and burger was perfectly made. I was only disappointment that we missed Chef Jay.

Ambiance and service were great. My dining partner loved his restaurant week boardwalk crabcake and the courses that accompanied it. My entree, the crab imperial rockfish, disappointed. I routinely have good food experiences at Gertrudes so this was surprising. The crab was watery and tasteless as if it had been frozen / freezer burned, and the fish portion small. I was hungry but it wasn’t worth eating-the sides were great. I love this place but can’t recommend this $42 entree….

Really lovely spot, definitely one of the most thoughtful menus we’ve seen in a long time. The cocktails alone are worth the trip. We enjoyed the jazz-focused menus infused with Baltimore history, which the bar manager created herself. Our hostess Leyla and the bar manager really went out of the way to ensure we had a great experience. The staff had some delays, which happens, but they handled them well. The staff truly anticipated our every need to ensure the delays were rectified quickly. Our waitress handled things better towards the end of our meal too. We hope to be back! Thank you.
