A lovely anniversary lunch, Chez Dominique never disappoints

Based in a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town, it has also been voted an OpenTable Diners’ Choice, one of the most romantic restaurants in the UK, and named among the top 100 restaurants in the country by SquareMeal.
The Grade II-listed venue has a variety of spaces where guests can enjoy a meal or drink.
The various menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available, including that grown in the kitchen garden. Vegans, vegetarians and guests with dietary requirements receive an equally special dining experience.

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.

Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.

The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats. We will also be offering traditional afternoon teas.

Il reste une institution à Clapham. Son coin repas en plein air peut accueillir 24 personnes tandis que la salle à manger possède une capacité de 50 convives. Elle offre désormais une vue dégagée sur une cuisine ouverte et comporte des banquettes. Elle arbore en outre des tons doux de vert jade et de rose pâle. Fidèle à son style de cuisine, le nouveau menu se concentre sur l'interprétation d'Adam des grands classiques dans un cadre décontracté et abordable. La cuisine propose un menu de 3 plats avec 6 entrées, plats et desserts, à des tarifs individuels. La carte des vins reste de grande qualité avec la carte des vins du Chef (il faut ajouter la TVA et le droit de bouchon) qui augmente en quantité et en qualité ainsi qu'avec l'augmentation du nombre de conteneurs jusqu'à 400 à observer dans la cave à vins installée au premier étage.

Très très bon restaurant gastronomique qui mérite largement son étoile Michelin. La salle reste toutefois assez bruyante pour un restaurant de ce rang. Nous aurions mis 5 étoiles si l'ambiance avait été plus feutrée.

64 Goodge Street is a new restaurant from Woodhead Restaurant Group, which opened in early August 2023. A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.

We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. Namely, that it is a space in which guests feel utterly taken care of.

We are open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. We very much hope to see you soon.

Est-il romantique? Eh bien, des dizaines, voire des centaines, de propositions de mariage ont eu lieu ici, ainsi que d'innombrables premiers et troisièmes rendez-vous et des anniversaires. Acquis par les frères Viala dans les années 1940, le Mon Plaisir est devenu par la force des choses un établissement de choix pour la société londonienne avec son charme à la française. Quatre salles avec leur ambiance particulière forment le Mon Plaisir; à partir de la salle à manger principale, inchangée depuis les années 40, jusqu'au au salon avec son bar en étain surmonté rescapé d'un bordel Lyonnais. Nous avons passé un excellent moment avec ma fiancée la nourriture était excellente (je recommande les escargots ainsi que la tartiflette), le service parfait et l’ambiance vraiment bonne également, rien à redire un des tout meilleurs restaurants de Londres !

Ce n’était pas facile de trouver un restaurant Italien de qualité à Londres Nous avons bien sûr, consulté les différents avis laissé sur ton restaurant et nous sommes décidés à réserver. Nous n’avons pas été déçu bien au contraire, le restaurant est cosy la carte est courte et qualitative belle présentation et surtout du goût le service est agréable et nous avons été bien sûr, servis en même temps nous étions cinq. À refaire pour ma prochaine visite à Londres. Bravo

Les mets sont finement cuisinés, aussi bien le poisson que les viandes (lamb , duck , excellents) les légumes sont bien mis en valeur (savoureuses morilles), la présentation est extrêmement soignée, c’est un plaisir des yeux. Que dire des desserts (on a adoré le carrot cake revisité). On est reçus dans un petit hôtel particulier composé de différents salons très cosy. Le service est chaleureux. On recommande vivement!

L’accueil était globalement chaleureux, mais une partie du personnel s’est montré très froid. Mention spéciale au serveur qui nous a servi le champagne : il ne nous a ni regardés, ni salués, et n’a échangé aucun mot, ce qui a terni l’expérience. Côté nourriture, c’était très satisfaisant dans l’ensemble, hormis la pâtisserie qui était trop gélatineuse à mon goût. Malgré ces points négatifs, nous avons tout de même passé un bon moment.
