The food was as outstanding as expected, but the service was above and beyond. Our server, Audrey not only got to know us, but then removed a dish from our bill when we simply suggested it wasn’t our favorite. She was outstanding and made the evening. Decor was a lot of fun as well

Executive Chef Kelli Crosson uses only the best local provisions, and the menu changes daily depending on what's offered at local farmers' markets, as well as from other local growers, ranchers and fishermen. The restaurant's wine list features California wines exclusively, including a variety of boutique wineries from throughout the state.

We had a fantastic experience. The staff were spectacular, the food was amazing, the ambiance, incredible. It was an anniversary celebration for us and the service blew us away, from the personalized menu to the amazing attention to detail by all the staff. A very happy experience all around. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. Been here a couple of times, while it wasn’t busy they took a long time getting to us to take our food then a long time getting the food. Waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our order then another 20-30minuted before our food arrived. Maybe it was an off night? But this wasn’t my past experience.

In today's world even finding fine dining is not what it used to be. We are 73 years old and have been "bucket listing" the highest rated restaurants we can find . . . . this was one of them. What makes this experience, at this restaurant worth the price? Even before mentioning the cuisine I must mention the world class service. Things are done to enhance the meal that are so good as to go almost unnoticed . . . . and the three or four or five people who helped were not only fantastic servers, but honestly friendly. The food (all five courses before dessert), as well as the Somaliers' choice of wine were simply nothing one can find anywhere else. To address my first thought though, I fully understand the need to have a setting conducive to more patrons and more noise than one is used to expect. This place should be around for quite some time. The atmosphere was well controlled and light. Thank you (by the way; we flew over 2000 miles to dine). J n D.
