The Best Restaurants in Omaha

Updated January 18, 2022

In the city of Omaha, there are several farms, dairies and orchards. Some of its most widely grown produce includes corn, sugar beets, potatoes, and wheat. Omaha's best restaurants serve dishes made with fresh ingredients grown by its local farmers. It has a variety of restaurants for casual or fine dining. Some serve international fare while others specialize in steak and seafood dishes. If a diner has a special diet, such as vegan or gluten-free, some of the best restaurants in Omaha can accommodate these dietary restrictions.

I will lead off with our two negatives: very salty and the overly loud environment. That said, we are older folk who have always used salt sparingly, and with onset of tinnitus, we are left with ringing ears. However, we recognize that both are current trends with which we endure nearly every place we visit. Now, we absolutely wish to commend both staff and management on the exquisite services provided at every stage of our experience. We never felt we were being "hovered" over, yet every need was resolved often before we realized said need! The only name we remember is that of Kaley (sp), our server. She and everyone else had friendly, approachable demeanor without feeling artificial. The food itself was amazing. I can't say much more than that without being repetitive, the salt being the only issue for us. And that probably won't stand in our way of returning to sample the rest of the menu! The "people" aspect of our experience was truly exceptional in the best way possible!

A Culinary Masterpiece: Dolce Omaha is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary pilgrimage. At the helm of this gastronomic masterpiece is Chef Anthony, a culinary virtuoso whose passion and talent shine through in every dish. From the moment you step into Dolce, you're enveloped in an ambiance of sophistication and elegance. The impeccable service provided by the staff is a testament to their dedication and commitment to ensuring a memorable dining experience. The wait staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations or answer questions. The true star of the show, however, is the food. Chef Anthony's culinary creations are a symphony of flavors, textures, and aromas. We over enjoyed each of the six dishes provided on the Chef's Tasting Menu. Each dish is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted with the freshest ingredients and a deep understanding of flavor profiles. What truly sets Dolce apart is the exceptional quality of its sauces. Chef Anthony's sauces are the secret weapon that elevates every dish to new heights. They are complex, nuanced, and perfectly balanced, complementing the flavors of the main ingredients without overpowering them. Whether you're indulging in a succulent steak, a delicate seafood dish, or a decadent dessert, you're guaranteed to be blown away by the quality of the food at Dolce. It's a testament to Chef Anthony's skill and dedication that every dish is a culinary triumph. Dolce Omaha is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates fine dining. With its exceptional food, impeccable service, and elegant ambiance, it offers a truly unforgettable dining experience. Chef Anthony's culinary genius shines through in every dish, making Dolce a standout in the Omaha food scene.

The food was really incredible- steak was cooked to absolute perfection & presentation could not have been more perfect! Had the best wine pairing & a delicious chopped salad ahead of the meal. My dining companion had the bolognese and French onion soup and said the soup was one of the top, if not the top, French onion soups she has had in the world! We completed our meal with a scrumptious apple pie. Thank you to the very friendly and personable chef who checked on our meal and to all of the staff.

Since everything we’ve ever had here is consistently excellent, we did the filet special and the pizza special (Syd). Never an issue here and tonight was another example of an exceptional experience. I gotta say, for a city with incredible steakhouses, Pitch Dundee blew them out of the water with this filet over risotto special. The Syd (pizza special) could likely be the slice that quiets the ‘pineapple on pizza’ naysayers. Spicy. Just sweet enough. Salty. (Oh man. I’m glad I can heat up a couple of leftover slices of that after writing this I’m craving it again!) Jack, our server, was on it as usual and was a great guy to work with. This place is a can’t-miss! Make a reservation even during the week for dinner. You won’t regret it. Check out the house label red wines - outstanding stuff!
