Restaurants near Union Plaza

We had an 8:30 reservation and were seated about 8:45. The food was excellent, but I didn’t like that there was a half hour wait between courses. The noise level was extremely loud, between the loud (but nice) music and the patron chatter going on, I couldn’t hear to carry on a conversation with others in my party to pass the time while we waited for food. We wanted to order dessert, but the wait staff took so long to come back (about a half hour after clearing the table and bringing the dessert menu) we gave up because it was already 11pm..and asked for the check from the next person whose attention we could attract. The food was fantastic, the hopping John was the best I’d ever tasted, and I’d make trip to Berkeley just for another serving. I hope your restaurant was just short staffed at that time and that I would not have the same wait should I return for another dinner.

The staff has excellent customer service and attends to all needs quite quick and accordingly. The food and drinks are fantastic, I will definitely be back!

The whole experience was a vibe. Worst part of dinner was parking.
