Great restaurant doing some really interesting stuff. Loved the corn fritters, the swordfish, and the porchetta. The deconstructed banana cream pie dessert was amazing. Just wish it was open later- we had an 8pm reservation and felt slightly rushed due to having to get all of our food in before the kitchen closed at 8:30. Would have liked to have coursed out our meal a bit more, instead we got served 8 dishes pretty much all at once!

Fête is our Honolulu favorite restaurant - for the food, the drink, the service and the overall experience. This time we had the grilled radicchio starter, the lasagne special and the mahi special. The radicchio is both bitter and sweet with the balsamic glaze and a smoky essence from grilling, a perfect start - not to heavy but full of great taste. The lasagne is our absolute favorite, fine layer upon layer, creamy and soft yet holding shape and savory as can be. It’s the sort of dish you wish you could make again yourself but realize the effort is such that you’re better off coming back to Fête. And the mahi was perfectly flaky and tasty, a “fish & chips” elevated by the sauces and kale and potato. Cocktails & dessert opened and closed a perfect meal. Always something special at Fête!

Our server was Kawika, who gave us excellent service. I took advantage of the Wednesday Prime Rib special, where you get a free mud pie if you order the prime rib. For $32.99 you get a 12 oz prime rib and the mud pie. The only problem was that we got our main dish in about 3 minutes of getting our salad. The manager and a different waiter brought our entrees, so when Kawika saw what had happened, he apologized. While we ate our salads, our entrees sat on the table getting cold. Otherwise the food was good and their prices are reasonable.
