The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

We’re back again, this time for a Late Lunch . Sat out in the Patio, nice breeze! Seated promptly and then just Relaxed . Our Wait Person “Tracy” was Most Helpful and Knows the Menu Especially the Specials !! ….he shared about the Raviolis which I ordered with the Bolognese Sauce, he indicated that these are Spicy 🌶️ with Chili Flacks !! Since I like Spicy these are Great, my I suggest that maybe a small amount of chili 🌶️ flakes on the side for us who like a bit more Spice !! My Lady Julie ordered the Gnocchi Gamberi and when it was served in a Steaming Hot Copper Pot it made her Afternoon! She Loved it…. We both like Food Served on the Appropriate Platings … Cold on Cold and Hot on Hot plates , Thank You If you haven’t tried CESARINA yet …. Do it! Also, ask for “Tracy” he’s the Bomb !

Herb and Wood was better than expected. Interior decor was very nice well appointed spacious with a dark dimly lit romantic feel. Service was top notch not less than 5 servers helped us throughout the evening being drinks then food then new silverware etc… food was excellent and well portioned. We shared apps veggies and a main course and left feeling content and full. The pork belly app with apples and mustard sauce was very tasty the trumpet mushrooms tasty like scallops amazing and the iribeco pork main course was very good. We loved it and would certainly go back again and again !!!

This was the first time we have been to Coasterra and we were not disappointed. The parking spaces were extremely tight, so it would be great if they offered valet, but that was the only downside. The food was amazing, service spectacular and ambiance / views phenomenal. We will definitely travel back to Coasterra when we go back to La Jolla in September.

Great food, great service. Perfect evening on the water. Was pretty noisy, but lots of parties celebrating things and what not. Not a detractor for the purposes of this review.
