Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A beautiful outdoor patio is most enjoyable on warm summer days and nights as it open to the sky.     This is such a special place to dine... Understated elegance, wonderful food and our waiter, Berkin was fabulous! He was attentive and not obtrusive. All of the staff that interacted with us were the same. Dining at RH Rooftop is a lovely experience!

    Excellent food and service. We were a group of 6 and our host made some excellent choices for us “family style” and we all left very happy and satisfied. The food was tasty and the check did not feel excessive (especially the corkage) and much better value than many comparable restaurants in sky high priced Palo Alto.

    My wife and I had lunch today to celebrate our 52nd anniversary. We shared the Dolmathes which were wonderful. My wife had an off menu item which was a phyllo packet filled with chicken, spinach and herbs which she loved. I had the Moussaka and wished there was a little more eggplant, but it was a very wonderful dish with the herbs and yogurt béchamel. My wife topped her meal off with the Baklava and I had the Galaktoboureko. We enjoyed both of them. We be back for more good eats.
