After our not so great experience the last time we were here, I left a bad review for the restaurant. We never had a bad experience when coming to Bavel but the last time left a bad taste in the mouth. It made me think twice of wanting to come back and I had already made a future reservation for my husband’s bday celebration. However, after the review, Brooke from Bavel reached out to me and apologized and asked for more details about what happened that night. She assured me that it wasn’t the standard Bavel was striving for and said they would take care of us when we went back for my husband’s birthday. As usual the food was amazing and we not only had an excellent server, but two other head hosts that made sure our experience this time around was amazing. They also sent out complimentary dishes and drinks we never normally order in our rotation. Definitely will start adding those dishes in our rotation in the future. Thank you Brooke and the staff at Bavel for taking care of us.

I received a birthday gift certificate to Bacari back in April and my experience was so amazing I returned with a friend. This experience on Sunday, we were greeting by Abraham(sp?) our waiter who remembered my from my first visit. The food was wonderful and prefect portions, the ambiance was to relaxing and inviting, the service was very accommodating and kind. Bacari is one of my new favorite spots

It was a nice brisk morning, air was fresh, and the view was amazing! From the moment you step into the building, you see the rich art 1920s architecture. We were seated immediately; our server Javier was very patient, attentive and efficient. When we arrived for early brunch, it was still pretty cool so he offered us some blankets which my Jamaican family appreciated. Food was a nice mixture of French and Californian cuisine. I also loved that the other patrons were diverse backgrounds, as were the hosts/servers. We were going to a hike by the Hollywood Lake Park, so initially we were worried you had to dress formally, it was less formal for bunch. You got to connect with the people you came with and enjoy the ambience and food. We really enjoyed it! It was a quintessential Californian experience!

Another terrific night. The naan and dips were very good, and Christoff, the main bartender, ordered the green beans in a fish sauce vinaigrette for me, which were terrific. I really liked the butter steamed bass and the Kabinet Riesling that I ordered with it as well.
