Restaurants near Borough Market

Food and service was good. Table we had was rather cramped for space. Portions could be bigger for the prices you’re paying. Especially paella and bravas.

Lovely dinner with some colleagues. Attentive service but a couple of minor misses. Food very nice but with some minor inconsistencies in seasoning. Good meal, will come back.

We had a wonderful lunch for my mother’s birthday. Our server Ruth was fantastic. I’ve been going to Hawksmoor since it was just the one restaurant & it never fails to deliver. We received a complimentary champagne cocktail and a personalised desert for my mum and it was a beautiful touch.

The cocktails were excellent. The sushi platter was excellent. You have a view from pretty much everywhere, so the ambience is great. We sat initially in the middle row of tables and then moved to the window table because the bar was quieter later in the evening, so they offered us the window.

I read Grace Dent's review ages ago and finally went last night. A fairly late table so busy when I arrived growing quieter as the meal progressed. Absolutely charming service, really good fun and very knowledgeable about the food. Talking of which, bloody marvellous, all of it. Very nice house wine too. Thanks for a fab dinner!
