One might be daunted by the location and find the entrance difficult to uncover but one enters a oasis of great food and music. Ask to sit poolside if you can. Quite an unforgettable experience.

Very special experience, the table is yours for the night and we returned for intermission to enjoy fruit and tea that our server set aside for us. The buffet is fresh and servers plate the food and great ambience, old school SF experience for sure.

Nothing in San Francisco matches the grandeur of the historic Opera House and the joy of its cafes with their enticing menus. I have been going to the Opera House for almost 60 years and not once have I left without an overwhelming desire to return well before curtain so I sit at the elegant Box Level **restaurant** or the buffet downstairs from the lobby. I count the days until my return.

To no fault of the **restaurant**, we showed up for an early dinner at 5:15 on July 4th. We were seated at a lovely booth upstairs (and it's really a nice space). About 10 minutes later, a random, yet organized, group (with a van) of whom I can only describe as drunk and very scary came through the downstairs entry way and began screaming profanities at a level I have never experienced. Even my friends that live locally were alarmed (especially after the day's violence in Chicago) and they started telling me to get under the table... Anyway, about 5 mins later the "hooligans" were pushed out and we remained speechless at our table. Bless the sweet wait staff who pretended nothing happened, but my one friends was standing up immediately and asking questions. They continued to serve us (with no comps) and though I ate, I tasted nothing... I could not get out of there fast enough. Bottom line, I have no honest review of this **restaurant**...

This place is a must in San Francisco. I reserved a table but came earlier and they gave a table inmediately. The food was delicious and same for the drinks. The space is really cute for pictures!
