- MMichaelCaribbean •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFlorio's is an excellent addition to the neighborhood and Lake in the Hills. A lot of us have been waiting for a long time for Florio's to open, and it has been worth the wait! From the time we walked in until we left the service was excellent and comfortable; we felt at ease and not hurried or pressured at all. Our waiter, Joshua, was outstanding; helpful with ordering preferences and suggestions that worked out well. Honestly it felt like we were dealing with old friends! And the food was wonderful! We shared a Caesar salad, and my wife had Chicken Piccata, which came with roasted potatoes and steamed asparagus. I had a veal dish, the name I can't remember but very much like Veal Saltimbocca but with spinach, prosciutto, mozzarella and a red pepper cream sauce. Delicious! Also roasted potatoes, as the chef hadn't finished with me yet! Both entrees were large portions, we both took about half of each home. The wine list was impressive, and many nice Italian varieties and blends. I chose a super-Tuscan red blend which was very good and reasonable in price. Plus what I didn't drink came home with me. My wife isn't a wine drinker, but the cocktail she had was very good, she said. All in all, a great new place, and we'll be back soon with friends for another great dinner!More infoFlorio's ItalianPrice: Expensive• Italian• Crystal Lake•4.1
