We were greeted immediately & escorted to our table. Heather was a wonderful & attentive server who made sure we always had what we needed throughout our meal. Wine options were plentiful & pasta dishes were delicious.

Many food choices and every item my wife and I have ever had were excellent.

There are always unique taste experiences offered at 1776. We both had the sole entree special (Sole over minted pea risotto with beurre blanc) - EXCELLENT! We started with the special "nosh" (grilled Michigan peaches with burrata, basil oil, balsamic glaze) - a delicious flavor combo. We shared the seasonal salad (baby arugula, beets, grapefruit, fennel, grapefruit vinaigrette) which was very refreshing. We ended with the pound cake with caramelized lemon curd - it was really quite a light finish to the meal. The recommended wine was Squealing Pig Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, New Zealand), which was a light, fruit-forward taste that went well with the other courses. Our server, Josh, seemed to really enjoy his work, and the greetings by others on the staff made us feel like we were part of the family.

As always Pete and his staff knocked it out of the park! We had Alex as our server and she was amazing! If you haven’t tried this little gem yet you really need to. We need more of these independents in our town. Yum yum yum!! 

Great food - we had the baked goat cheese and the chimmi steak bites - both were absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and prices not ridiculous. We'll definitely be back.
