The food, very tasty (fish sandwich, fries, coleslaw & bacon, eggs, potatoes, toast). The Mai Tai, very good. The lychee martini, amazing. The service, friendly (pretty waitress, striking eyed bartender). The ambiance, very nice with reggae and blues playing and garage doors opening the entire wall up to the breathtaking ocean view. First the view from the Grill is exceptional. You have to see the sunset if you seat by the window. We were very impressed my husband and I with the service and the food. It was a fabulous dinner and I have to say I was a little concerned at first because the hotel amnesties look so old and the restaurant itself a little outdated but I’m glad everything went well. Thank you Reilly for taking care of us. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Approachable, thoughtful and creative, Hualanai's Restaurant at Timbers Kaua'i delivers a fully integrated dining experience that is served in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. The food and beverage program at Timbers Kaua'i is purely driven and influenced by the relationship between farmer and their harvest, rancher and their cattle and fisherman and their catch. We believe in supporting our local purveyors whose passion for responsible and sustainable farming practices mirrors our passion to deliver it to our guests.
Our menus are designed to reflect the spirit of Kaua'i and the seemingly endless bounty of ingredients that this jewel of an island has to offer from the pastures, the ocean and the farms. We have established relationships with six local farms and ranchers to source as many ingredients as possible from locally from Kaua'i.
Poipu, Hawaii, a quaint little town on the island of Kauai, has made itself into an appealing vacation spot for those enjoying their retirement or a weekend getaway. All aspects of the area, such as the beaches and the restaurants to the chickens freely roaming around, emit an aura of calm and relaxation. The neighborhood's local restaurants, like those decorated with a few glowing lanterns to ones that sit beside peaceful tide pools, serve delectable dishes, both from the “aina” and the “moana” – the land and the sea. With land-based meals, guests can enjoy delicious local steaks or chicken hot pot, and from the sea, diners can savor perfectly grilled ahi tuna, tempura shrimp, or macadamia nut-crusted mahi-mahi.
