Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Cardiff By The Sea

Father’s Day bbq was the deal of century. Everyone and every thing was great. You can tell they really thought about the details. Chef Blais even came around to say hi and of course, take photos. Ribs were fall off the bone perfect. Cocktails and mocktails made to order. Potato salad which most won’t even think about, was A+. Staff was friendly despite being busy. Atmosphere is perfect for a sunny San Diego celebration.

We really enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar! The service is top notch and the spring menu is spectacular! Next time, we won’t sit in the library as the jumbo tv can be a little distracting. Especially, when people request to watch sporting events. I wish the Grand would rope this area off to people only enjoying afternoon tea then reopen to guests after services are over.

First time dining at this place. Nice, quiet and quaint place in Lemon Grove! Inside has limited seating but the patio is perfect for spring and summer for wine and charcuterie nights. Food was amazing! We had the steak, lamb chops and chicken Parmesan. For wine try Quest Cabernet. We were served by the owner himself and very knowledgeable when it comes to wine! We will be back!
