We ate here during restaurant which allowed us to have a 4 course meal at $45.00 and it did not disappoint. The food was fabulous in a chic atmosphere. The gnocchi was the best I have ever had, small soft melt-in-your-mouth ball of gnocchi. My husband had the Brussel sprouts which were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The caesar and modern salads were both fresh and light. The veal and salmon were both the perfection. All of the courses were accompanied by wine recommendations. The Italian wine pairing for the entrees was outstanding. Finally the meal ended with wonderfully flavored and light tiramisu. I highly recommend Plate Italiano Modern in Leawood. It was delicious

What a wonderful meal! We went for restaurant week and ordered from that menu. Husband had house salad, that dressing was so good. I had the bisque….amazing. Filet was cooked perfectly, potatoes, yummy. We ended up with 3 desserts. The apple dessert with cinnamon ice cream, chocolate cake, and cheesecake. All were delicious but the apple dessert was my favorite. Our waiter Saint John was hands down the best! It was a perfect Anniversary dinner and absolutely will be back very soon! Thank you Saint John and J. Gilbert’s for making it amazing!
