Best Contemporary Indian Restaurants in St John's Wood

The Thali at lunch is superb value. However the all male staff are not great in that they use the bathrooms and leave the seats up and not clean. The waiter asked the same question three times and still got it wrong - if anything a slight arrogance

All three of us had different starters and mains. We thoroughly enjoyed the food.

We were expecting to eat downstairs, but downstairs was closed that night, so we tried upstairs, and we’re glad we did. Delicious and different curries and salad on the street food menu. Upstairs or down, there’s no wrong choice at Roti Chai.

Good, creative Indian food. Red wine by the glass was not terrific. A cocktail or beer would’ve been a better choice.
