Best Contemporary French American Restaurants in Southeast Portland

Took my sister who was visiting from out of state. We, of course, love the place and it is one of our favs. Was curious to see how my sis, a foodie, would view this. Needless to say, she has not stopped raving about it. The food was the highlight...as it always is...incredible. But she couldn't stop at that....said it was the best food she had EVER had. Had to call her husband as soon as we got home and insisted he come with her and soon...just for the restaurant.

Usually come to Higgins for dinner or early evening to eat at the bar. First time for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Everything was so well thought out and the flavors were balanced incredibly well. Favorites were the seared albacore and the beef carpaccio. When you get to desert, please do yourself a favor and don’t skip it! We had the Brûlée banana split which had no business being as good as it was and my personal cherry on top was the scotch and cheese. I would like if every meal ended this way.

Delicious and unique dishes that were bright and fresh! We will be back.

Wonderful time with a group of five! Food and drinks were great! Both cheese and chocolate fondue were excellent!
