Best Contemporary French American Restaurants in North Portland

This was our first to NORMANDIE and we weren’t disappointed. We ordered several small dishes, the deviled eggs rated lowest of the dishes which included the Oxtail Croquettes and the hamachi plate which was the shining star of the small plates in our book. The Gnocchi was spectacular and the crispy duck confit the best I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend for a date night.

Canard O.C. is a one of our favorite restaurants. Most recently, we enjoyed the lamb bourguignon and salisbury steak. The experience was topped off with exceptional, highly attentive service. Our server, Elise, was incredibly thoughtful about dietary restrictions in our group. Our tastebuds have yet to be disappointed and the service is top notch.

Took my sister who was visiting from out of state. We, of course, love the place and it is one of our favs. Was curious to see how my sis, a foodie, would view this. Needless to say, she has not stopped raving about it. The food was the highlight...as it always is...incredible. But she couldn't stop at that....said it was the best food she had EVER had. Had to call her husband as soon as we got home and insisted he come with her and soon...just for the restaurant.

Usually come to Higgins for dinner or early evening to eat at the bar. First time for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Wonderful time with a group of five! Food and drinks were great! Both cheese and chocolate fondue were excellent!
