Twice each year, NYC Restaurant Week blesses us all with a chance to score some epic lunch and dinner menus at some of the hottest restaurants across the city. And as a parting gift before the arrival of fall, the summer edition is now in full swing.
Restaurant Week—now in its 31st year—features big names like Gotham, Les Trois Chevaux, and As You Are. The specials run through August 20 as two- or three-course prix-fixe menus for $30, $45, and $60, depending on the time of day.
Most of the menus are only on weekdays—apart from a few notable exceptions (we see you, Laotian brunch at Khe-Yo)—but be sure to check the restaurant’s website before heading out. Read on for some of the best Restaurant Week specials across the city right now, and kickstart the tail end of summer in style.
Brooklyn
As You Are (Boerum Hill)

The Ace Hotel’s Brooklyn outpost has a new menu thanks to chef Camille Becerra, and now’s the time to check out the $30 and $60 lunch and dinner specials. Standouts include the hippie sandwich with jicama, avocado, and sprout; chicken Milanese; and a strawberry pavlova.
The Ariapita (Flatbush)

Chef Osei Blackett grew up in Trinidad and brings the food of his childhood to this cozy Trinbagonian (a mix of Trinidadian and Tobagonian foods) restaurant. Staples such as curried crab dumplings, oxtail stew, and cumin-coated chicken wings all star on the menu. There’s a $45 dinner or $30 lunch and brunch for restaurant week.
Morgan’s Brooklyn Barbecue (Prospect Heights)
The good news: This Prospect Heights favorite returned last year after a fire damaged the spot in early 2021. The great news: It’s still serving some of the best barbecue in the borough. Get the best of everything with the tasting platter that’s part of the $30 dinner special and includes sliced brisket, pulled pork, and potato salad.
Manhattan
Philippe Chow Downtown (Chelsea)

Beijing-style food is the focus at the famed namesake chef’s stylish Chelsea restaurant. The $45 three-course dinner has favorites such as chicken lettuce wraps, crispy beef, and vegetable fried rice.
Kyma (Flatiron)
Fresh fish is flown in daily from the Mediterranean at this Santorini-inspired Greek restaurant in Flatiron. Branzino filets with wild greens star on the menu alongside shrimp orzotto and crispy calamari.
Serra by Birreria (Flatiron)
This lush rooftop restaurant at Eataly is a romp through Southern Italy, and the prix-fixe menud don’t hold back, either. Lunch and dinner menus at $30 and $45 serve up crispy arancini, grilled swordfish, and impossibly creamy gelato. Plus, there’s an option to add half a bottle of red, white, or sparkling wine for $25.
Gotham (Greenwich Village)

There’s no better time to dine at this legendary restaurant, which underwent a revamp during the pandemic and is now taking Restaurant Week by storm with $45 lunch and $60 dinner specials. Expect duck rillettes, creamy cacio e pepe, and crackly crème brûlée.
Khe-Yo (Tribeca)

Laotian food remains a rarity in New York City, and Khe-Yo’s $45 and $60 lunch, brunch, and dinner menus let you dive deeper into the cuisine. Choose from hanger steak pad see ew, lemongrass chicken sausage, and coconut gelato, among other options.
Jalao (Washington Heights)

Little Dominican Republic in Washington Heights is home to this stylish Dominican restaurant that’s doing a $60 dinner prix-fixe. Highlights include crispy pork with wasakaka sauce (a garlicky Dominican sauce), goat stew with grits, and majarate, a Dominican corn pudding that Jalao serves with rum raisin ice cream.
Les Trois Chevaux (West Village)

Famed chef Angie Mar’s luxe French restaurant and its nine-course dinner is one of the best special-occasion meals in the city. Thanks to Restaurant Week, it’s also an everyday dinner option. The $60 three-course prix-fixe is a condensed version of that same ever-changing tasting menu, which in the past has included confit frog’s legs, roast turbot, and rabbit.
Staten Island
Maizal (Rosebank)

This family-owned restaurant that’s been a Staten Island staple since 2010 spotlights dishes from Puebla, Mexico. Expect enchiladas topped with mole poblano, spicy shrimp tacos, and chorizo and potato empanadas. Maizal is doing a three-course $30 dinner for Restaurant Week, including on Sundays.
The Bronx
Chocobar Cortés (Mott Haven)

This Mott Haven gem is the restaurant of a nearly 100-year-old chocolate company from the Dominican Republic. Come to the family-owned Bronx spot for $30 or $45 prix-fixe menus of chocolate guava chile wings, curly fries with chocolate ketchup, Puerto Rican chicken soup, and so much more.
Queens
Guantanamera (Forest Hills)
Old Havana vibes, live Cuban music, and free cigars await diners at this lively restaurant in Forest Hills. Highlights of the $30 lunch and $45 dinner include vegetarian paella, chicken soup with diced avocado, and Cuban-style caramel custard. There’s also a location in Midtown.
Maiella (Long Island City)
Stunning Manhattan views are just one part of the draw at this restaurant located at the base of the iconic Pepsi-Cola sign. Maiella’s extensive Italian menu is just as big a draw, and the $45 Restaurant Week special features stellar options such as burrata with walnut pesto, ziti with sweet tomato ragu and shrimp, and a chocolate olive oil cake.
