The summer of pop-up dinner parties just keeps getting stronger. Cherry Bombe—the biannual magazine and media company that celebrates women in the food industry—is spearheading a July dinner series with OpenTable taking place at some of America’s top restaurants.
Gayle Pirie’s legendary San Francisco restaurant Foreign Cinema and Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne’s Los Angeles staple A.O.C. are among the illustrious partners for the events, which will have special menus, custom cocktails, and new desserts.
The Sit With Us series kicks off July 13 with a dinner at beloved Austin Southern restaurant Olamaie, led by Amanda Turner. NYC’s Mediterranean oasis Zou Zou’s, with executive chef Juliana Latif at the helm, will host the subsequent dinner on July 17. The A.O.C. and Foreign Cinema dinners will follow on July 24 and July 27, respectively. A portion of the proceeds from the dinners will go to a charity of each restaurant’s choosing.
Diners can expect several food world celebrities at these events, including hosts such as Cherry Bombe founder Kerry Diamond and recent guests from the Cherry Bombe podcast (OpenTable CEO Debby Soo was on the show in May). There will also be introductions with the restaurant team, and diners will go home with a copy of Cherry Bombe’s most recent issue.
