Get to know Eric Wareheim

Anyone who watched Netflix’s Master of None knows that Eric Wareheim’s character Arnold loves to go out to eat. That’s no coincidence—while Wareheim is best known for his work in Hollywood as a comedian, actor, and director, his passion for food is evident in his cookbook and the wines produced by his label, Las Jaras Wines. Get to know Eric in his own words*:

Why did you choose this restaurant?

I’m a pizza freak. Pizzeria Mozza and Nancy Silverton were two of my first LA loves. Our first studio was down the street and on special occasions we’d get the pizza and salads delivered. Those were great days.

What’s your best memory at Pizzeria Mozza?

We once had a wrap dinner in the private dining room for Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! Most of our crew have never even heard of a private dining room. It was gorgeous and the perfect vibe to celebrate with pie and vino!

Tell us about your inspiration for the menu

I’m leaning into what’s freshest here in California right now. If we still have sun golds, we’ll use ’em. That plus my personal favorites and my favorite wine!

What’s the one thing you will always order if you see it on a menu?

Meatballs, garlic bread, Caesar, budino.

What’s your favorite celebration food?

Bistro Na in San Gabriel. Or any high-quality Sichuan. The tingle feeling along with a lil’ riesling is what I live for in a celebratory meal.

Why do you think restaurants are such an important part of LA culture?

Life mostly sucks. Ha! And you gotta have something to look forward to right? You wake up and daydream about what LA yum zone I’m going to dine in that evening.

Get to know Coco Jones

What can’t Coco Jones do? She’s been acting since she was a tween, and you’ve seen her most recently in the latest Fresh Prince of Bel Air reboot. And now, she’s turning her talents to music, having recently signed with the legendary label Def Jam Recordings and releasing her newest single, “ICU”, from her forthcoming EP due this November. Get to know Coco in her own words:*

Why did you choose this restaurant?

I’m a big fan of savory dishes, and Fia Steak has a lot of options depending on my mood for the evening.

Tell us about your inspiration for the menu.

My inspiration behind the menu is making it similar to me—I want the menu to be fun, daring, and unforgettable. I want every dish to have something special and thoughtful about it.

What’s the one thing you will always order if you see it on a menu?

Deviled eggs or Caesar salad.

What’s your favorite celebration food?

A premium cut of wagyu steak.

Why do you think restaurants are such an important part of LA culture?

A lot of business is done at restaurants, and in LA, networking is crucial. The right restaurant can set up the vibe for a great connection.

What’s the best part about dining in LA?

The places are open much later than where I’m from in Tennessee.

Get to know Tefi Pessoa

Tefi Pessoa rocketed to fame for her relatable TikToks, where she’ll dole out life advice and commentary on pop culture in equal measure. Her charisma and wit went on to land her gigs hosting InStyle’s TikTok account and an MTV series. Get to know Tefi in her own words:

Why did you choose this restaurant?

It’s a very welcoming spot, and the space has a homey energy to it that I find to be very cozy but also fun. It’s like your cool aunt in restaurant form.

What is your best restaurant memory?

Personally, I love the moment when you and your friends or family are just laughing so hard you can’t get a word out. Those are my favorite restaurant memories, and they are really priceless.

Tell us about your inspiration for the menu.

Food, like music, can take you home in an instant—even if you’re on the other side of the country. When you eat food made with love and curiosity, anywhere you are feels like home.

What’s the one thing you will always order if you see it on a menu?

I AM GUILTY OF ORDERING THE BURRATA OR THE CALAMARI. EVERY TIME.

What’s your favorite celebration food?

Caja China for New Year’s Eve in Miami. Slow-roasted pork for like 8-plus hours. Incredible!

What’s the best part about dining in LA?

The best part about dining in LA is that I’ve never had a bad fish taco.
