About Beast and Bottle
beast + bottle is a rustic American restaurant serving craft dinner and brunch.
Run by siblings Paul C. Reilly, who mans the burners, and Aileen Reilly, who oversees front of house, beast + bottle is located in Denver’s Uptown neighborhood.
The “beast” refers to the restaurant’s appreciation for the whole animal, utilizing all parts to honor its integrity. The owners’ relationships with farmers, ranchers and purveyors bring ethically and humanely raised, responsibly harvested and organic (whenever possible) ingredients to the table.
The “bottle” refers to drinks. b+b’s wine program is influenced by the European tradition of drinking wine how you’d like – whether that’s a glass or by the liter.
The menu changes whenever the kitchen pleases based on what’s in-season and what the cooks are enjoying at the moment. What remains constant is a steady focus on sustainability and versatility of ingredients.

Beast and Bottle Ratings and Reviews
The tuna appetizer was very good, and they have a small but nice selection of interesting wines.
Our server was wonderful. But the main courses were mediocre at best. We ordered a red snapper-- our favorite fish-- but it was not cooked well, and it was in a cream sauce way too rich for the fish. We also ordered the pork which was five tenderloin-like medallions. It was fine, but no better than fine. Nothing special or interesting in the flavors. The prices of the entrees do not reflect the quality of food. Not trying to hurt the restaurant but just didn't think it was worth the money.
First time in for brunch. Our server, Adam, was great. Five in our group. Three ordered the special, pork belly, black eyed peas, kale, poached egg, good. The favorite meal was the black pepper bourbon sausage on the Wake up menu. YUM-O
If ordering mimosas, ask about the Cavo litro, after ordering the fourth mimosa, noticed the liter on the bevy menu, much better on the cost side.
We’ll be back.
Our group opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. It allows you to select most of the courses with one course selected by the chef. Almost everything was incredible. The salad was good but there are so many other items that stand out, and the pork was slightly dry. The wine pairings were inventive. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant works as one team so no "let me get your waiter". Everyone in our party plans to go back.
We had brunch at Beast and bottle on a Saturday and at the last minute had to up our reservation. They were so accommodating and wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the food- but it was definitely in the pricier side. I will definitely be back. The pork tostadas and the French omelette sounds were big hits!
The food was incredible, but the service was out of this world. From the moment we sat down until we left, we were constantly impressed with the service. As for the food, I like the small menu because I felt like we were eating food that the chefs wanted to cook. We'll definitely be back.
Christmas Eve dinner with family. Apps were fine but main courses came out 45 minutes later and fish was cold, pork and duck were over done and veggie dish was just OK. Meals weren’t that flavorful. I’m pretty easy to please but this was just bad. Won’t go back.
We always have a great experience here! Christmas Eve was no exception. The service is always very attentive without being pushy. Food is very well prepared and very thoughtful. Menu is small, but never feels small and everything I've had has been so delicious. Always a great time. Thank you!
This was our third trip to B&B. It has been one of our favorite “special” places. Unfortunately the service and selection did not live up to our high expectations this time. We were seated next to a loud group of 4 that had very negative things to say about everything. We were not in the conversation but being half a foot from their table, we could not help but hear their every word. The $15 bottle of wine cost $40 (markups are fine but that’s a bit much) and the food came out cold. We will probably be back. Hoping our 3rd experience was just a fluke!
My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. The chef, Brian, is amazing. His food is exquisite, innovative and delicious. We eat here as often as we can for special occasions. Service is also impeccable. The restaurant is adorable and decorated in a fun way as well.
The people at this restaurant were hands down amazing, and the ambiance was sublime. We were seated immediately and great attention was made to accommodate our evening plans.
Unfortunately, the food was lacking and we left disappointed in what we paid for. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, they were perfectly fried, but the sauce that was mixed with the kale was extremely salty (to the point that it was almost inedible). I thought to myself, maybe someone made a mistake, and mixed up the salt with another seasoning and I let it slide. Then I had the lamb and my husband had the steak, and although they were better, they too were over salted.
Otherwise, it was a great experience, and the wine recommendations were spot on.
We have always loved Beast and Bottle, but our experience this time really fell short. The tortellini was very small (3 pieces of pasta) and the tortellini was dry. The sauce was very vinegary as well. The truffle risotto had no hint of truffle in it and was not flavorful, unfortunately. Service was fine, but it was hard to figure out who our server was since we had multiple staff helping us throughout the night. We were disappointed with our meal and it made us question whether we will return for dinner anytime soon.
We didn't end up eating there so I can't rate the food. My husband dropped me off so I can get seated while he went to find parking. He came back 15 minutes later and told the manager (?) he was having trouble finding parking and did he have any suggestions about where he might park. His reply was, "How is that my problem?" We left immediately and will not go back.
