The restaurant radiates a romantic and luxurious ambiance, from the marble staircase overlooking the patio below, the intimate private dining tent, to the inviting fireplace lounge. Revel in the open air courtyard and let the night elevate as you dine alfresco style and relax in this truly stunning Los Angeles oasis.
The menu offers bold yet bright flavor profiles with an emphasis on organic produce and the highest quality ingredients. The beautiful outdoor setting at Ysabel is conducive to the philosophy behind the food. Serving delicious, eclectic cuisine while enjoying the amazing weather and sustainable ingredients that southern California has to offer.
I went to Ysabel for my birthday. We ordered few plates, pasta, brausel sprouts ,few salads and tuna tartar. The food was delicious but the brausel sprouts was very greasy. The pasta with vodka sauce is amazing.
The vibe and decorations are amazing.Have cute and nice places to take pictures. The service could be better,we had to wait a-lot to ask our waiter for a wine or dessert.
Amazing atmosphere and food! Great place for dinner with friends.
Went to Ysabel for my bday dinner and it was such a cute place! Loved the whole vibe there. Drinks and food were all so good. Our server Ali was super sweet!
Alison Trent did an amazing job on this menu. She use fresh ingredient for her farm to table style menu. The flavor profile of the ingredients in the tuna dish were in harmony with each other. The Yukon Gold potato lasagna with the oxalis ragù it’s definitely the best winter dish right now, so delicate and perfect with the richness of the oxtail ragù. I suggest the Barlolo Tenuta Cucco or the Contesa Montepulciano with that this dish. Our server was very friendly and provide a great service.
Music, Hip hop and wrap was bad, this should not be the music playing at Ysabel.....
It was cute place to go checking ones but food are over price.
Not what it used to be. Very disappointing.
Food was good but very small portions. Waitress was nice but forgetful.
We were waiting for the waitress waaaaay too long. Kept going to the bar and asking for a menu as waitress was never around.
The restaurant is fantastic and our waitress Janeses is so nice.
Birthday dinner. Food was good. Bday card was thoughtful. Service was almost non existent.
Overpriced. Food wasn’t the best. But vibe was amazing. Service was excellent.
great ambience and food. beautiful scenery and music. reasonable pricing
We used to LOVE Ysabel, but the food on NYE was disappointing. Service was still very good, as was the ambience.
Loved it! Can't wait to go back. One of my favorite restaurants!
This was my third time and took some LA friends for their first experience and they loved it! Our server, Nazaneen, was incredible. She was attentive, friendly and charming despite it being a busy Friday evening.
Ambience and food were amazing! Staff will keep us coming back for more. Shout out to Yohannes and the bartender with the shoulder length hair!
Service sucked bc our waiter wasn’t fine dine standards. Our tables was dirty through out our time there. Also, the last dish came 15 mins later than the second course. Same with the dessert. The timing was off completely.
Just went for dinner with a friend. It was amazing!
This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. One of those places that you have to know where it is because you cannot see it off the street. It is excellent for a romantic night out and the service is outstanding. The food is a fusion of Italian, French, Mediterranean with some Mexican tequila thrown in for good measure. I had the Gnocchi with Oxtail ragu, which was an interesting dish. It was quite tasty and will fill you up if you are hungry. Certainly will be revisiting this restaurant again.
The food looked nice but the steak was sooo soo smelly. Horrible food
It was a great ambience and great food. The bolognese was outta bounds and our sever was on point and made it a great experience
The food is great and the outdoor area is quite beautiful. However, the various shared plates we ordered came almost all at once eventhough we asked our waitress to stagger the food. The piped in music was also too loud and distracted from our dinner conversation.
It was over the top!! Thank you for your absolutely amazing service and delicious food!! Will definitely come back.
Love love love this restaurant! I’ve come here many times on different occasions and it’s always the best experience. The decor, the food, the ambiance, the vibe, everything is so me and it’s seriously one of my favorite restaurants in LA. Love!
Server was friendly and attentive and pleasant. Wagyu skewers were delicious. We also had the brussel sprouts, scallops and tuna tartare which were all good as well. We had some banana dessert which was also really good. Love the ambiance. The outdoor seating and lighting is really romantic.
Avoid, avoid, avoid! Absolutely horrible service. Took over an hour to get food. Never asked if I wanted another drink. Manager finally contacted and was so shocked sent over some pastries. Really really disappointing. Food, when it arrived, was adequate but nothing special.
Ambience and food was really good. The only complaint was having to wait on our main courses for quite some time .
We went to celebrate a 31st birthday and it was amazing! The Ambiance and service was impeccable! Isabelle was our waitress and she was amazing very Knowledgeable about to the menu and so sweet and helpful!
I chose brunch at Ysabel for my friends birthday and we just kept staring. It was so lovely and a good price point. The drinks and food were amazing and the manager was so helpful! Will definitely be back!!
Great time - never disappoints.
Would recommend to a friend as a LA hotspot, however definitely not worth $200 dollars for a two person date. Res for 8pm seated at 8:30? haha yea right? Ive lived in LA for 10 years so i understand the "Your table isnt ready so have a drink at the bar" move which adds $40 to overall bill is the status quo, but not 30 mins later? Had a good time due to great service and a smoking hot date, but will be going somewhere else for next outing.
Outstanding food and an atmosphere that left us awestruck. We enjoyed every moment and every bite.. I can not recommend any higher - 100% ...
I love this place!!!!!
The ambiance was amazing, and the music and crowd made it cleary the place to be. The food was unprecedented and service was outstanding. I would highly recommend Ysabel for an intimate and yet fun upbeat date. My boyfriend and I did this for date night and it was one of our best ever, we had so much fun with the music playing and the scene, and he left saying that was the best meal he had had in a long time. We look forward to going back soon!
I wouldn’t write home raving about Ysabel but there are a few positives. The hostess was very attentive and friendly and we were seated right away. Jack our server was awesome and very attentive too. The ambiance was pretty nice but due to the flooring the restaurant was quite loud which made it arduous to carry on a conversation. For the main topic herein, we felt the food was underwhelming and bland. All in all I give it 3 stars but I don’t think I’d return to Ysabel.
Had dinner with client/friend. He had the scallops (gave me one - it was amazing!)
I had the catch of the day, Striped Sea Bass - also Amazing!
We shared the Hamachi starter - Amazing!
For desert - Creme Brûlée- fantastic!
Excellent wait staff was always nearby when we looked up to ask for anything.
Super friendly atmosphere.
excellent place for friends to catch up as there is seating around where you can simply have a drink, talk, and people watch.
Let me preface this review with the fact I have dined at all the “hot spot” places in H-wood and Bev hills . So I am aware these places are more for tagging photos at vs. actually eating...: that said...:
I think this place has a problem with thinking they are something they are not. We had a reservation for two at 6:30, my guest arrived at 6:25 to an empty place(asked if we could be seated at 7 because it was empty and bar has a few people at it)..: the rude and entitled hostess, then seated us at a table in the corner away from anything, we requested to move inside the main area because it was cold #1 and #2 it was empty and dead.
We were told we could not move into the the main seating area because they were “booked” ..: well, there was NO ONE SITTING AT say, 10 or 20 TWO TOPS! ... eventually, after asking the server, we were moved to a two top inside (it was raining and cold in LA on this date)... never once did any of the tables the were “booked” fill before 8pm... we left after a bottle of horrid wine ($70) and organic chicken (was good).
The busboy, appeared nervous around us, as when clearing the table he dropped the utensils not once, but 6 times onto floor and got oil from chicken all over my shoes. No apology, his supervisor had to step in to simply pick up a plate!!! One plate! .
We wasted 150$, + $50 on 2 drinks At bar ($22 Tito’s soda)... places like this won’t be around long if they think catering to Instagram losers is the only way to sustain business.
We had a fantastic time at Ysabel. The ambiance is amazing, great dim light, beautiful aesthetic and artwork. We were a big group and they were very accommodating but looked cute for a date spot or girl’s night out as well. The tequila mezcal drink was a fave, as well as the chicken bao buns. Most everything was tasty, a few items were cold that they immediately replaced. The staff was very on point.
Food needs work
But cocktails are on point
