We have eaten at Vero for brunch a couple of times, and it always exceeded expectations. We recently decided to try their no menu Tuesday, and each course was an absolute delight. The wine pairing was on point, and there was not a single aspect of the experience that I could fault.
This is the second time we've been to Vero Bistro and it was exceptional. The food was both interesting and tasted exquisite, and the service was top notch (thank you Alex). My wife is an excellent cook, so we are often disappointed when we go out to eat. Not so with Vero - they exceeding our expectations. We would highly recommend Vero to foodies with a taste for high quality food and superb service.
Really lovely food and attentive service. The only downside is that the venue is really small and the tables are really, really close together. I also always prefer when my winter coat (and everybody else’s!) is hung in a closet rather than slung over my chair. Multiple coats on the backs of chairs contributes to crowding and detracts from ambiance.
This has been our third time at Vero and it has yet to disappoint. We ordered the surf and turf for two and loved every bit of it. The food is delicious and the service was great. It is a small restaurant , but it is definitely a hidden gem. I would recommend making reservations.

We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for years having been told by many that it was the best restaurant in Calgary. It lived up to the hype! Service was excellent - dinner was outstanding.
It was a wonderful dining experience for my fiancee's birthday. Great food and great service! Been here lots and will continue to come!
My boyfriend and I went to Vero Bistro for the first time yesterday (Tuesday) it was a fixed menu prepared by Chef Jenny with three different choices for the main entree.
We tried the Mussels as well as the Steak & Frites. Amongst that, we had a starter and a salad. And finished with some creme brûlée and ice cream. Each and every bite was mouth watering and delightful.
We didn't have any complaints other than being full when we left :)
Great bistroesque atmosphere, reminded us of Montreal or Europe.
Will definitely come back again!

Fantastic Brunch. Fresh croissants with marmalade! I have had the Vero Traditional (poached eggs, bison sausage, salad and croissant) as well as the Ratatouille (with poached eggs, and croissant) both of which were excellent. Highly recommend.
Without a doubt, the food is outstanding. However, the service is often quite snobby. For example, we recently made a reservation, including a child. We called the day before to adjust the reservation. No problem, said the very friendly woman. When we arrived, there was a mix up about our adjustment. We were made to feel as though we had inconvenienced them (despite a half empty restaurant). Our waiter then only brought coffee to half of the table, and appeared annoyed when we pointed out we all asked for coffee. This is Calgary, not Paris, People!
Food was great but the service was slow. We waited about 30 minutes between each course of the three course meal. Also to add they forgot entirely about our dessert until someone came up to ask If we needed anything else (not realizing that we were still waiting).
The food was good but the service was horrible. We waited 20 minutes for our table, 15 minutes just to get a drink order in, and another 20 minutes for them to arrive at our table. And despite being one of the last 2 tables left at the end of the night (since it took so long to get our food) we actually had to ask for the bill. Disappointing.

Went for dinner with some girlfriends and had a pleasant evening. We shared the charcuterie board which was very nice. I few of us had the steak frites and were not impressed. The steak itself had almost no flavour. The sauce was ok and it was seared nicely but a good quality beef will have more flavour. If I didn’t know I was eating steak, I wouldn’t be able to tell by the taste. And I can’t understand why a chef would serve a steak on top of the fries. Needless to say half the fries ended up soggy. Please serve the fries BESIDE the steak! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The hostess is unfriendly and barely gives you a glance or hello before seating.
Outstanding dinner from Chef Jenny. Last recent memorable meals were Paris and New York, and this is a gem. Source of quality products, attention to detail absolutely impeccable. Service was wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Absolutely loved it, Stephen.
I don't even want to tell you how good Vero Bistro is! It was hard enough to get a reservation, but if I really tell you how great our evening was, it will be even harder to get in. We went on a Tuesday and had the 3 course prix fixe menu. The price was reasonable, the food was out of this world and the "extras" that they brought us were so unexpected and appreciated. From the Amuse Bouche at the beginning to the macaroons at the end, this was a meal to remember.
