We had a great experience at Venice and the food was great!!
We really enjoyed this restaurant. Everything about it was amazing, the staff, atmosphere and delicious food. The best!
Great service and appreciated being back in the corner with a large group. Our server was helpful and nice.
We went to Venice to celebrate my birthday and what a celebration it was. We had the most amazing wine it was a blend of 3 reds. Excellent wine. The server was lots of fun and did not rush us at all. We started with Charcuterie & Fromage. A delicious selection of meats, cheeses, nuts, and fig jam accompanied by a generous basket of bread. Then we moved on to the salad course. Two of us had the Lemoncello salad. A beautiful presentation and it tasted as good as it looked. For our main course, I had the Vitello all Caprese. Just like Mom used to make it so tasty and fresh. The portion was large so I took 1/2 home to enjoy again! You simply can not miss at this restaurant. It is a great location across from the Denver train station. The atmosphere is lovely and festive. One of my all-time favorite restaurants in Denver.
My husband and I had our first visit to Venice. We had great service, great wine and great food. Will definitely go back!
We came for a birthday party and were set in a room with three long tables. Our reservation was early, so we had the room to ourselves for most of our dinner which was nice. We started with cocktails and while the list wasn't large everyone enjoyed what they got. We had three appetizers: the Burrata, the Calamari and the Arancini. I was not a fan of the appetizers but one of my group LOVED the burrata. The Calamari was really large pieces, so if you like smaller crispier ones this isn't for you. My favorite part of the apps was the salad underneath the arancini and the zucchini fries topping the calamari. Stand outs from the meal were the seasonal pasta which was served with pancetta, peas, sun dried tomatoes and a vodka sauce. I took it home and ate is in three different sittings - it was very good! The cheese ravioli was also another stand out! So cheesy, so decadent and SOOO good. If I go back and the seasonal isn't the same, you bet I am getting that ravioli!
I was a great experience at Venice. The food is great, service is wonderful and it’s very reasonable.
Since covid I’ve noticed waiters have been automatically adding a 20% tip. I get if for large groups but it was just me and my fiancé. Tips are earned not freely given. I honestly would have probably given 20% because the service was good but the assumption is irritating. Giving tips out like that is a disservice to waiters who are actually going above and beyond.
The staff here is extremely nice, and I was not at all disappointed with the service! It’s a good location (being right across from union station) and the food was amazing! I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know! 5 stars overall!!! LOVE
Service was excellent, the food was just ok. I ordered the Lasagna Bolognese. It wasn't what I expected for a normal lasagna. I anticipated a meat sauce over it, rather this lasagna was filled with meat. We ordered cheesecake to go. The server didn't tell us when we asked if they offered cheesecake that they do, however it's chocolate cheesecake. We would have refrained from ordering it to go had we known. With much anticipation to share it once we returned home, much to our dismay once we opened the container we were thoroughly disappointed. Neither of us care for chocolate. I called the restaurant, let them know that we weren't aware when ordering cheesecake that it would be chocolate and that we don't care for chocolate. They took my number and stated they would give a refund and call me once they did. Well, it's been three days without a call. That makes them drop a few points in my eyes.
On a positive note, the atmosphere was very nice.
Food was good. Service was slow. Wasn’t that busy and I feel the server was asked for more then she was attentive. You should order drinks in advance because they’ll take forever to get them out to you.
Food and wine were delicious! Rob was our server for a special date night and did a spectacular job. We will be coming back.
When you plop just a piece of cauliflower into your mouth and it erupts with flavor, you know that you have found a true Italian restaurant. This is now my go to place in LoDo, and will always be endorsed by me.
We really enjoyed our dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day. My husband had the Sea Bass and I had the Lasagna. The wine list was excellent as well. A very enjoyable dinner in a beautiful setting.
We didn’t know the menu would be MUCH smaller than listed on their website. We expected better service, we felt like they were trying to push us out of there before we even sat down. No time was taken to go over the menu, and there were only one or two vegetarian options available. For the price, we expected much more.
Wow! This place was spectacular. My fiancé and i came here for a valentines dinner and it exceeded all expectations. Our service was amazing (I wish I could could remember his name) & the food/wine was to die for. I will be back again!
Food was alright. Above mediocre for Italian food but not the greatest. Service was great, however.
Server was lacking multi tasking skills. Delivered soup and no spoon. Asked several times for spoon, by the time I got a spoon. Soup was cold and the rest of the table was done with their appetizers. Also asked to get bill split up and he seemed like that was too much to ask. My bill should have been $30 and it was $65.
Absolutely loved Venice. Great ambiance and yummy food!
Love the place great environment
The service was super slow when the restaurant wasn’t too busy due to it being a Tuesday evening. Not to mention that that server had a busser and food runner helping him as well. As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I’m understanding that things happen, but our server did not greet us in over 15 minutes although he was visiting the table next to us several times. It usually takes less than 5 minutes to take a drink order or if that’s not possible at least come by to acknowledge the table and let us know you’re busy and will be with us shortly. It’s better to communicate with your tables rather than leave them in the dark. In the end, we eventually had to ask the busser to send him our way because we were ready to order and had eaten through our bread basket. We even witnessed another table get up and leave because no one got to them on time. Food was good, but service ruined the experience for us.
Our waiter Jonathan tonight was very great and gave us delicious recommendations. We have been to this restaurant several times and we always enjoy our time food and cocktails. We will be back- as always.
I would love to give Venice 5 stars. The food was pretty good. The service was great. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our entire table was very uncomfortable at the number of people dining in the indoor dining space. I wish we would have known ahead of time that they were not doing 25% capacity. Every table was seated. I would recommend takeout from Venice until the indoor seating poses less of a risk.
Loved it ♥️
Yum! We indulged in everything. Great for a girls night out or a nice date night with your honey.
Best happy hour in Denver! Though they are "small plates", the servings are generous. The variety of authentic, Italian food is amazing! We enjoyed the meatball appetizer and calamari, as well as the spaghetti con le polpettine, and the linguini alle vongole. My favorite wine and the cocktails were perfectly served by Dennis. Check the hours and come to LoDo! You'll make it a regular favorite!
The experience was wonderful! We will absolutely be back!
Lovely!!!! Will go back!
We had a perfect dinner experience
Great service and food as always. We celebrated my birthday and have a great time. Chicken Marsala, and the Rigatoni were superb. Loved the special caprese salad and the tiramisu dessert! Come hungry, enjoy the vast wine selection and the special ambiance!
We had a part of 12. The server was extremely great
The food was amazing and the whole experience was just so professional.
These guys clearly go out of the way for their guests
Staff was knowledgeable about both the food menu and wine menu. Everything was amazing! We'll for sure visit again
Best experience from the service, to the ambiance, to the food and wine. Best meal I’ve had at a restaurant that I’ve had in awhile. Highly recommend this place. And (secret!) they have half portions for their entrees.
Birthday Celebration! My husband's birthday celebration was extra special! Dennis poured our wine, and made perfect cocktails as always. The tasty meatballs to start were delicious. Our entrees, Polletto Piccata, Polletto and Salsiccia Cacciatore, and my Cioppino were divine! The Creme Brulee and the Cannoli for dessert were a special treat!
Venice is the best for celebrations, or any night of the week for a special dinner!
I want start saying that the waitress Tyler is amazing and did an amazing job with our table.
The food is super good, and the Carpaccio appetizer is superb and very good portion.
You definitely need to go there and enjoy yourself. Again, Tyler and of course the rest of the workteam, from the hostess and the rest crew thank you soooo much.
Birthday dinner and service were great.
We went to Venice for my wife’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The carpaccio was the best I have had in Denver and the pasta and fish were superb. Our server Tyler was very helpful with choices to make and very attentive. Highly recommend!
My husband food was really delicious, my sisters plate were okay , my plate said root vegetables but for the price the can vegetables did not do it ! The service was not good at all as I had reservations and other groups were seated before us . The desert was brought with no spoons , my husband steak did not have a steak knife so I had to asked for one . Total disappointment!
