I had not been to this location before, but had always enjoyed the food and service at the DTC location. It was nice to find that this location lived up to the wonderful expectations created by the DTC location. The food was delicious, I went with my favorite Chilean Sea Bass and it was delicious as always. The service was absolutely top notch. We will be back for sure!!
A little noisy. The food and service were excellent.
We had a wonderful dinner at Venice; kudos to Michele, Alessandro and Gil who really made us feel welcome. My lamb dish was stellar and my wife's halibut enjoyable. A nice welcome was a warm bread basket and the wine list is extensive.
Great food. Slow and actually strange behavior from the server
The veal piccata was fabulous!
Fabulous service and very good food. Excellent wine. They would benefit from a few more 2 tops and spreading out their tables. At that price point, some quiet intimate dining would be nice.
It was absolutely amazing! From the good to the wine rec by the sommelier to the service from our waiter, it was all perfect. The friends we brought with us loved it!!! We accidentally made reservations and ate at your DTC location last month and were so disappointed. We will continue to come to the downtown location!
It was very lovely
Excellent service from the wait staff and the food was amazing. We also enjoyed the comprehensive wine list!
We had such a wonderful time celebrating a friends birthday. Food was delicious and wine selection incredible. Would definitely recommend.
Great service and crew
Fantastic restaurant. We were seated quickly. Wait staff was extremely cordial and attentive. Food was delicious. Very affordable for a fancy restaurant. A bit too loud but overall a great experience.
My birthday celebration at Venice was extraordinary thanks to our fantastic server Luis and manager James! Thank you for making my time so unforgettable, dishes so delicious, and providing an ambiance that was so ebullient!
Dinner is always very good at Venice Ristorante and Wine Bar. We had two delightful bottles of wine with friends and enjoyed our meals immensely. The atmosphere was festive and the staff was very accommodating.
Its one of our favorites. Great food and top notch service.
The food at Venice was great! I had their Spaghetti which features an amazing house made marinara sauce full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I always judge an Italian restaurant off of their marinara sauce and this was 5/5.
Always good and consistently good service
Great. Great food, great ambience, great service, great city.
The service started out great and then our wait person kept disappearing. It took forever to get a drink (admittedly, my third) and we got so tired of waiting we skipped dessert.
I think restaurants are really hurting with the scarcity of employees and maybe this is just another example of the covid situation.
Awesome, food, drinks, service, ambiance! Venice has it all! They also have a GREAT happy hour menu with smaller dishes...so you can try even more of their great food!
La mesera estaba de muy mal humor, nos aventaba los platos ,
El piso estaba sucio , vino el gerente a tratar de limpiar, pero igual salimos con las suelas pegajosas
Being from Chicago, I was hard pressed to find a great place in Denver, until I came here. Wonderful food, variety, service and all at a great value compared to other "high end" restaurants. Venive consistently delivers with tasty, well-prepared dishes and friendly service to boot. I'll return time and time again.
It continues to amaze me that nice restaurants that have good food that are upper and allow men with baseball caps into the restaurant. It totally destroys the ambience for people like me, whose mother would never allow a man to wear a hat in her house. I know we’re in Colorado, but come on let’s try to meet the standards of other countries when it comes to fine dining. If I didn’t have to look at three different men wearing baseball caps I could give this restaurant the highest rating. However since they will not allow people and if they don’t wear shirts or shoes, I’m not sure why they allow men and their security blanket baseball caps in to ruin the ambience for the other clientele people these guys need to go to McDonald’s
I’m not one to complain especially over food, but our server, Karson maybe Carson, was extremely rude. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or what. My boyfriend and I showed up on time to our reservation and were seated within 10 mins. Once sat a few people came to the table to drop off water and bread. These people were not our server. We were given an iPad list of there drink menu and shown a page listing their in house cocktails. Once our sever came to the table she asked if we were ready to place a drink order to which I politely asked if she had wine list as the only thing we were shown on the iPad was the cocktail menu. She so rudely stated “It’s right here if you go back on the IPad like I’ve already shown you once.” She hadn’t even visited our table yet…so how could she have shown us. She wasn’t very responsive when we asked for more oil for the bread we waited about 15 minutes for that. Other than that the experience was great.
New Year’s Day celebration
Restaurant wasn’t busy but the staff was not on their A game. Glass was cracked so I had to send my drink back and it was never replaced. The waitress didn’t bring me any food because she thought “I’ll have the same thing meant we were sharing.
Thankfully I didn’t have my own plate because the food tasted like something you’d get at a wedding. Based off my experience and expectations I would not recommend or go back!
The calamari appetizer was excellent. The Scaloppine Piccata was terribly salty and the Veal Chop was over cooked and fatty. Neither of our entrees were hot when they came out. We were going to order dessert but decided not to given our experience with the entrees. The bartender was very friendly.
The main gentleman server was amazing. He was very attentive, personal, very educational and very polite. This place is truly one of my favorites.
Our food was pretty tasty. It wasn't amazing, but the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Overall it was a pretty good experience.
Delicious food, super busy so multiple people helping out the waiter. Great wine selection.
Enjoyed a nice dinner for my wife's birthday and loved everything about the place. Great food :)
Was wonderful our anniversary celebration….we enjoyed very much !!!! :•)
Food was great and the manager helped us pick a great wine. It did take a while to get service started though. Other than that everything was great!
Food was excellent. Service was great. Would definitely go there again.
Absolutely memorable experience for a special family celebration! The quality and selection of wines completely deserve their Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence recognition. As a reference point for the wine lover, the "by the glass" 2018 Sinegal Napa Valley Cab led to two bottles at a price no other restaurant would match. Luis was the server you want for the occasion--warm, attentive and engaging at just the right moments. Thank you for the complimentary round of Prosecco, Luis! The Prosecco complemented the Calamaretti e Zucchine Fritte, that a family who knows Calamari judged 5-stars, as well as the outstanding Carpaccio & Polenta. Next the main courses closed just how you'd want. Cappalletti di Zucca ("Pumpkin Ravioli") is always a family foodie favorite and Venice Ristorante's rendition hit every note. Round that out with the Mahi Mahi Picata and Pappardelle con Cinghiale ("Wild Boar Pasta") entrees, and our foursome spilled out into Denver's delightful 16th Street Mall as content as content could be. Give it a try on your own special occasion ... you won't be disappointed with quiet spacious dining that offers explosive food!
Went here for a birthday/date night. Wanted to try an upscale restaurant that we have never been to. Was disappointed. First of all, we went early in the evening (the restaurant was practically empty), asked for a romantic/nice table for our special occasion. Not sure if there are such tables in the restaurant, but we did not get it.
For the price of the food, I was expecting to be wow'ed. I feel the food was average. The service was good though. Glad we tried this place but do not feel the need to go back, nor would I recommend it.
We did not like that they would not do separate checks, or let us divide the bill. It had to be split equally between 8 people. My chicken dish was very average.
Christmas dinner, fabulous and festive
It was wonderful! The salmon and the filet melted in your mouth. We went on Christmas day so it was very nice and festive. I have celiacs and they were very knowledgeable and respectful of my needs. I just wished I would have known the menu was a limited menu that day since many things could not be adjusted for me (like mash potatoes, etc). But I'd go back in a heartbeat!
