Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    What a fantastic experience with our server, Kimberly! I made reservations to celebrate my husband's new job. It was his first time dining at Ulele, and she made great recommendations. He followed her suggestion and ordered the risotto, which he thoroughly enjoyed. MEATIEST oysters I've had!! I ordered a dozen baked oysters and was so pleased to see how much meat they had!! Would return :)

    Thanks to our server, Edward, our experience at Ulele was fantastic! Even though he was busy with other patrons, he made sure our needs were taken care of. The food at Ulele was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

    Everything was amazing from the service to the food. Meatloaf is a must try especially with the Corn Beer muffins! Loved the convenient parking options.

    This was our first experience with the second level seating and was disappointed. However, our server, Jeremy, was excellent and more than made up for the lack of ambience that Ulele is known for.

    We had great experience after having a few other experiences that were so great we decided to come back. The chili is absolutely to die for! The flavor was incredible gator , duck, boar And venison, a burst for your palette. My husband has the mahi it was cooked well and tasty, I had the Gouda grouper the sauce was incredible the fish itself was cooked well but way too salty bc of the blacken would have been better grilled. Then we ventured out and tried the homemade maple bacon cornflake ice cream, holy amazing deliciousness. Espresso tini made perfect and summer cooler delish! Will be back

    The charbroiled oysters are worth the price. The grouper sandwich and softshell crab sandwich though... order something else. The softshell crab sandwich isn't hard to make but coating it in a bland flour mix, baking it, then dumping nothing but paprika on top is not the way to go. There was far more flavor in the lettuce and cole slaw on the sandwich than crab. Extremely disappointing. Would not have ordered the cole slaw as a side if we'd known that it was also going to be on the sandwich. The grouper sandwich was also bland (it was ordered blackened) and there was more bun and lettuce than grouper. While the crab sandwich was fairly priced, the grouper was vastly overpriced for the portion of actual fish served.

    We loved Ulele! What a special place for my birthday dinner. The food was sooo good. The service was excellent! The atmosphere was fun and a wonderful view of the river and sunset. We loved it! Thank you for the birthday chocolates too!

    Ulele is a must for visitors and a favorite for locals. The menu choices are fabulous and the food is beyond delicious. Service is phenomenal. Whether it’s drinks, apps or dinner you won’t be disappointed and if the weather cooperates the outdoor experience is a bonus. I love Ulele!!!
