Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    Benjamin provided excellent service and recommendations. Our dinners, Steelhead Trout and Water Works Meatloaf, were fabulous. Great decor in the restaurant, but a bit too noisy in our opinion.

    We could not eat outside because of rain and were seated at ground level. The noise was nearly unbearable. Everything else was fine.

    Chargrilled oysters-amazing! Rice and green bean accompaniments to the pompano could have been a bit warmer, the fish and topping were both hot. Drinks were great.

    It’s our second time at this establishment and everything is perfect and delicious. All the personal that works there are outstanding. Definitely a place to go every time I visit to Tampa.
