Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    From the moment we arrived the service and experience was excellent. Our server Sarah was very attentive and accommodating, very positive and upbeat. The food was very well prepared. The table ordered crab cakes, wedge salad, pork chop and grouper which were all fantastic. The bourbon butter cake was amazing as well.

    We loved Ulele. We had the native chili loaded and it was excellent. The pork shank, seafood risotto for entree and pineapple upside down bread pudding were all worth another trip back! We would highly recommend!

    Gouda Grouper entree was delicious. We would have preferred to sit on the first level rather than upstairs. Not sure why we were seated upstairs.

    Very nice anniversary dinner. The charbroiled oysters were great. Enjoyed the jalapeño corn muffins. Our steaks were very tasty. Service was impeccable. Overall all a nice time.

    Our party of 3 enjoyed the experience of Ulele tremendously. Very busy for a Sunday afternoon and quiet noisy, but that is a good indicator that good food and laughter is found there. Our service was excellent as Luke made sure we were provided with as much tea that we could drink and the food was delicious. If you go to Ulele, make sure you order the Magic Bacon Maple ice cream to top off your meal because that was truly divine. The statuary and art work was also a very nice touch. We will definitely be going back.
