Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    We had e great experience as usual , food was delicious. I had the Seafood Risotto, it was superb. Our waitress gave us an excellent service. Alexis was very amicable, very knowledgeable, and we will definitely ask for her next time we come for dinner. In addition, our server Alexis was very helpful and attentive all night. Please send her our thanks. She also made great recommendations for wines and desserts.

    Service and ambiance was excellent. All of our food was over seasoned and super salty. The tuna app was soaking in mayonnaise and the wedge had too much and tasteless dressing. Very fair.

    The food is phenomenal. Unique choices and options for everyone. Can be a bit loud so you have to almost yell to be heard but can’t complain too much.

    3 of our meals were heavily salted. It's was like if they put salt in it twice. I don't think the manager listened to our complaint. He replaced the meals "without and seasoning" as he stated. It was not that we did not like the seasoning, it was because the meals were heavily salted. No fault of the waiter, he was an absolute pleasure to work with.

    Nice place with some excellent food and service. Wine list is very competitively priced and some are cheaper than supermarket prices for good quality bottles. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere great. The only downside are the somewhat miserable staff at the reception desk; they need to be much more pleasant to their guests. The last point needs to be addressed as I made the same comment last year.
