Trinity Grille is an upscale restaurant located in the heart of Denver, Colorado. This local eatery is the quintessential business restaurant. Dimly lit by chandeliers, the dining room features a rich mahogany bar and tables with leather booths. The bartender knows the locals, and the cocktails are poured with high-end liquors and one or two additional ingredients.

The menu has several influences, from local ingredients like the Canadian walleye, which is crusted with almonds and topped with a brown butter hollandaise, to the Hawaiian chicken sandwich topped with Havarti cheese, bacon and pineapple. Trinity Grille is also known for its fantastic happy hour, when drink and appetizer prices are cut significantly for the lunch crowd.

I thought the place was nice food was good and the host was very accommodating. The only thing is Open Table should make note when the kitchen closes. We did have a set reservation but it was close to the time the kitchen closed and people were running late. But again the host accommodated and was very professional and serving. Good food music and the ambiance great!

While my title doesn't exactly scream excitement, ha, my experience at Trinity Grille was good. The menu had options with steak, fish, chicken and an array of other appetizers and sides. The service was great! It had a neighborhood feel while being located in the middle of downtown. The only real negative is the interior is a bit dated.

The Trinity Grill is a favorite spot for lunch. The reason? Good service and good food.
At night, this is not the lower downtown bar scene area. The Brown Palace is across the street.
The food at night is better, it is not as crowded and the food is better than the Ship's Tavern.
Come and try. You will like it.

My girl friend and I were looking for a romantic destination, and hadn't booked out ahead, so we were limited in our options. The reviews looked positive. But, it was essentially an old bar with tables and booths, high ceilings and bright ceiling lights.
The food was really good, and although our soup came out cold, they reheated it. If you want any ambiance, try somewhere else. If you want good relatively inexpensive food and don't mind sitting in view of the bar and TVs, give it a shot.

Bartender had to seat us, waitress got lost for 10-15 after our guests ordered their drinks.
Wrong or right, I expected more/better....and I recommended it to the entire party and was disappointed.
For the price, it should be better.

Moving here from New York and after reading the reviews I was expecting much more. The service was good not great. The food was adequate. I really don't see anything special in this restaurant. It was at best average.

Had a wonderful meal at Trinity Grille. We had the steak frites and the filet mignon. Excellent!

Food only average. Server was good but slow given how few people were there. Will not return.

Having dined here before, I love to introduce Trinity Grille to friends for a nice meal. The historical atmosphere of the restaurant with so many of the charming details from 100+ years ago, coupled with the warmth of character and sophistication of the food, makes this top of my list of favorites!

Dishes such as buffalo meatloaf, the exquisite crab cakes and luscious chocolate soufflé are all fond memories and compelling reasons to return. AND the wine list - quite lovely!! The bar crowd ranges in age, but everyone seems comfy chatting with strangers here. If you come in alone, you won't feel alone for sure!

We go to the Trinity Grill every year to celebrate our Rehearsal Dinner Anniversary (which we had at the Trinity Grill). This year just didn't feel a special as year's past which was a bit of a let down. After the first poured glass of wine I had to re-pour both of our glasses, twice and we had to ask more than once for more water. There was a large group that night in there but we just felt a little neglected. My husband ordered the Steak Frites and while it tasted good the presentation was not impressive.
Hopefully this was just an off night. We do plan on going back next year for our anniversary dinner.

Trinity grille is a step back in time. Very masculine , dark, old school menu. Staff is very nice and food is fine. I was there in the evening... Only one other couple there and they looked sad. A regular came in and say at the bar... Added a bit of life since the staff lit up and he was nicely greeted. Basically take your over 60 business associated for lunch or if you are looking for a regular bar to sit and chat with the staff this is the place.

Ambience was really nice with the Art Deco type decorations, but then with the loud nuggets game on TV right by our table was a bummer. Great wine list and the wine was the best part of the meal. Food was just ok.

At least that is how we felt when we got there. I had made reservations and when we arrived the place was near empty. The Hostess shuffled us over to a section where there were already 4 other couples sitting shoulder to shoulder (with an empty restaurant mind you). When we asked for another seat she suggested to sit us right in between two other couples. Seriously!? It would have been nice to give us a table with a bit of privacy and then let it fill in around us. It's one thing to be jammed in like sardines when a place is full, but not when there is plenty of open tables when you arrive. This is something you should really work hard on or get a different hostess.

After all that the food ended up being quite delicious! They have a nice wine & whiskey list to go with the Menu. Although, I am a stickler for service when paying that kind of bill and they missed the mark from the beginning. 1st impressions are everything!

Food is pretty good, but as reported by many others, the service was poor. Had to ask for a waiter after sitting at the table for 15 minutes. Wine wasn't served correctly and salad and dinner were delivered at the same time. Price was pretty good, but would be happy to pay more for good service. I did notice a good waitress doing a great job of serving some adjacent tables, so this restaurant is probably just a toss of the dice on whether you get a good or bad server.

We had a great Valentine's Day dinner at the Trinity Grille and would highly recommend it to those who ENJOY a super meal. We plan on returning again in the future.

The evening was delightful and the Peppered Venison was spot on--delicate and perfectly prepared.

Reviews here say it's packed for lunch but it's pretty empty at dinner on a Saturday. Very quiet as there were only 4 tables occupied. Had the crab cakes (excellent), and the haddock special (also excellent). Great waitress that allowed us to try the whites with the two seafood dishes to see what we liked before committing to an entire glass.

Nice place.
